Think Like A Vegan Podcast Season 3: This is the only piece I have included that has a significant component of modular synthesis, which is a slightly different way of making music and is just pure fun.

Think Like A Vegan Podcast Season 3: I love textures. And drones. There is no other music that can create positive emotions and sensations for me like they can. This was originally a long form piece and it was a challenge to cut down to two minutes and to keep a sample of the textures.

Think Like A Vegan Season 3: I often struggle to finish pieces I start. This piece is a theme that has been around for quite a while with me in some form or another. I really enjoy the feeling and that water can bring. Perhaps this one draws some inspiration from some early 90s synths tunes that stick with me still today.

Think Like A Vegan Podcast Season 3:  I grew up with my late father playing banjo and I also learned to play later in life. It still has a special meaning for me, even if just a simple loop or tape loop. It also includes some of my fathers drums, which are a little difficult to pick out in this short version. The bird is a ruru that sometimes lives in my backyard. They are a really cool little owl that I recommend you read a little about.

Think Like A Vegan Podcast Season 3: this piece has field recordings of many familiar sounds to me that I have heard over the years during my stays in Tokyo. Woven through it was a really impressive thunderstorm that moved across the city one autumn evening.

Think Like A Vegan Season Podcast Season 3: This has a field recording from one of my favourite shrines in Tokyo where I have wandered many times and eaten many lunches. The bells are edo fuurin, which are hand-blown glass wind chimes, each with its own character. These are my own collection, which, unfortunately, I dare not put outside in the crazy Wellington winds.
