Phases is a composition that represents the ever-evolving landscape in the Handpan industry. Atmospheric and ambient backings help set the Handpan to be front and center - an instrument that deserves to be the focal point of the mix.  

The song’s main vocal theme present throughout the piece, represents the Handpan itself: an instrument that will always have some semblance of its original form, but that will continue to grow and evolve over time. 

As the piece builds and adds in different elements, the representation of the changing community is portrayed; be it new makers, new building methods, new forms of the instrument, or even new players - the Handpan community is continuing to rapidly build up in exciting new ways.

As we leave the Handpan “Renaissance” and enter into the Handpan “Industrial Revolution” the change may be drastic, but the Revolution will be exhilarating to see.

What better way to portray the phases of the Handpan industry, than with artwork of moon phases. (with the Handpan in them of course :)
