This is a local music podcast for Columbia MO. Each week I'm going to list all the Live Music shows for Monday-Sunday then have a quick conversation with a local Musician about Columbia music, past and present. For the first Episode of The Hometown Drunk I have a talk with Alex White From Hooked up about a few old bands from around town. At the end of each podcast there will be music (If it can be found) from the local bands discussed in each episode.

Episode 2 - Blake Gardner

I sit down with Violet and talk about some of her early influences and music in Columbia as well as a local character Jerry Foster in her home town of Wooldridge MO. There is a unreleased recording of Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead Playing with Jerry Foster that were dubbed the Jerry and Jerry sessions. This was recorded at the Grateful Dead house before they started the band in the early 60's. This Episode runs a little long with some extra music at the end.
