The main riff here is super, and i like the half-step walk downs at the end of the phrase (if that makes sense). Also the way the main riff develops/varies as the song progresses is nice.

An experimental track this time inspired by the glaciers and arctic landscape. I hope you enjoy it!!

Bit of a Viking thing going on with this track.  

To me, Vinland symbolizes the adventurous spirit of the Norse people, and their seafaring skills.  I wanted to compose an adventurous piece that captured that spirit, and imagined the meeting of two tribes; the Norse and the Native Americans, people who both revered thunder gods! With 'Vinland,' I endeavored to capture and convey that sense of adventure and cultural encounter.

Inspector Looso is in Morocco having a very bad day while trying to resolve a murder case. 
He was desperate while he thought the following:

“I need a drink
I really need a drink
A full glass of liquid courage would be just what I need. 
A shot of fluid inspiration that would help me resolve my case. 
I know, I promised. 
I promised my wife I would stop drinking.
I promised my daughter I would stop drinking.
I promised my son I would stop drinking.
I even promised my dog, for what it's worth, to stop drinking, but I need to drink.
I’m so thirsty like never before.
I need a drink whatever it is.
I am stuck with my father’s Citroën 2CV in the middle of the desert.
Out of water asking myself if I should drink my own pee, drink the cooling fluid from the car radiator or lick my own sweat. 
Damn, this stupid car is air cooled so there's no radiator or water in it.
I really need to drink.
There's this bottle of cheap whisky that was left in the trunk of the car.
If I drink that I will be drunk in the trunk by the end of the day.
Moreover, I promised to stop drinking.
How about flaming the whisky?
That would taste better than my pee or licking my sweat and remove most of the alcohol. ”

So did Inspector Luc Looso. He survived long enough to reach the next village and continue working on his murder case.

I Need A Drink

Part 1 of a part 2 album - "Forest - The Start of a Journey". Inspired by the sounds of the forest.

I took many walks through the woods recording found sounds, along with photographs of unique aspects of the forest, combining them with compositions which I felt were fitting to the theme. A fun project with part 2 "Forest - The Long Walk Home" coming in the near future.

For the best listening experience, each track should be played in order as there is some overlay from previous tracks leading into the next one, in order to give it the feel of a concept album.
