Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a famous friend? Well, Westminster College student, Savion Baker, know exactly how that feels. Savion Baker is a Sophomore at Westminster playing football while his Florida friends, Jay Allen, signed to the Cincinnati Reds. Both have such different lives and yet they stick together even if they are 1000 miles away from each other. Savion is excited to see what his future, and friendship, goes in the near future.

(Lou Nyiri)-“ Any football weekend you just knew you were going to be listening to the game on the radio, watching on TV, or hearing the cheers from across town knowing it was a Penn St touchdown!”

(Michael Ginocchi)- That’s diehard Penn State fan and graduate Louis Nyiri. He’s from State College PA born and raised. He is also the father of Westminster Junior Alex Nyiri. Alex was a Nittany lion fan until age 5, but something happened.

(Alex Nyiri)- “It’s not just a big deal in my family, it’s a big deal in our church because it bleeds Penn State Blue and White. The senior pastor was a big Ohio State fan, so he converted me into liking them.”

(Michael Ginocchi)- This was a major shock to Alex’s father!

(Lou)- “I was a little hurt and wondered why the switch, but we believe believe in freedom of thought in this household. If he wanted to be an Ohio State fan, then I would have to try and support him except when they are playing Penn State.”

(Michael Ginocchi)- When It’s Penn State, Ohio State game day, Alex and his father have different rituals to get ready for the big game!

(Lou)- “Well I usually go outside. I look up at the sky and I see that it’s blue and white so I know that God is a Penn State fan. Then I’ll turn to Alex and talk a little smack about the game!”

(Michael Ginocchi)- Alex does his rituals a bit differently

(Alex)- “When it’s a Night game, by the time 6:30 and 7 I go up in my room and start pacing around. By 8, it’s time for war!”

(Michael Ginocchi)- Whether its Saquan Barkley or CJ Stroud the Penn State Ohio State rivalry doesn’t get any better than between Alex and His Father!

On today's episode, we'll talk about the Red-shouldered Hawks that have made a home on Westminster College's campus in New Wilmington. These magnificent creatures have chosen to nest in a grand old tree outside a residence hall, causing some inconvenience for the campus preparing for an outdoor commencement. But why should we care about these birds and the inconvenience they may cause?

Join us as we talk to a team of students who have become birders over the semester in a cluster course called BirdTok. They share their insights about the importance of being good neighbors to these protected raptors and why they matter for the ecosystem. These students are on a mission to educate others on campus about these birds and help create a harmonious coexistence with them.

On today’s mother fair short takes podcast, the host Taylor Kendall sat down with Kaydin Brown to talk about problems on Westminster campus. Taylor Kendall is a freshman at Westminster whereas Kaydin Brown is a sophomore, and a commuter so their takes on campus problems are different. 
They talk about three main problems on campus. The first topic Taylor brings up to Kaydin is how parking is as a commuter. Then Taylor brings up how Kaydin likes food on campus and if he would rather eat at home. Finally, Taylor brings up Wi-Fi troubles and how it affects Kaydin.

Hello and welcome! In this audio postcard, we’re headed to Pittsburg! Our first stop is the historic Senator John Heinz History Center. This museum is jam packed with 7 exhibits that are sure to give insight into historical facts that you may not know about the city itself! One exhibit we focused on was the sports museum, which focused on the history of Pittsburgh's famous sports teams. After the museum visit, we walk right down the road and into the Strip District. Home to a wide variety of unique shops and restaurants that have been around for years, there's something for everyone to enjoy! Our final stop is at DeLucas diner, a cozy old fashioned diner in the heart of the strip district itself that's known for their comfort food.

The basement of Eichenauer Hall now contains a facility for the Westminster men’s golf team.
Construction on the facility began early in the school year.
The golf team has never had a facility on campus before.
Titan Radio’s Marcus Dean tells us more about the newly constructed facility.
