This track, Reflections, was written in a place of pain and discomfort, focusing on the issues of past hurt that can often bleed into new relationships. It's easy sometimes to get lost in the pain and loose sight of the beauty that's within a good relationship. Mahachii's aim was to write about the pain, but how he has no hope of bringing this pain and hurting new relationships. 

This new take on Mahachii's style is leaning more and more towards RnB fused with live elements. The track is completely composed of only analog instruments from live hip hop drums, bass, electric guitars and vocals.

It's a step in the direction of a new breed Mahachii is aiming to create, initially starting the year 2021 off with City Lights, a Jazz fusion, to now Reflections, an RnB fusion.

To narrow this track down to one genre won't do it justice. It's a mixture of reggae, soul, R&B and pop. 
Music can often be my lifeline, it may look risky, but it's what I use to help me survive. So often I can be swayed to trade it in for something that seems more comfortable, but in the end, music is solely what I want to be doing. 
That's the point of this song. 
That's the point of my lifeline.

September has an alternative groove, it's got a mean hip hop punch with major jazzy elements to it.
However, it's not entirely the song you'd lay back and listen to due to its sassy attitude which draws you into the groove.
In all honesty, this song expresses my love for music. 
Music can be so dynamic and complex, some songs make you feel good and some make you think about what's real. This song is meant to make you feel good, it's the type of song that will make you appreciate music for its dynamic nature but in this case, being able to lose yourself in the groove. 

I've Known Emamkay for a few years, the first time meeting him was when I played drums for him at one of his shows. Performing with that man is literally electric. 
Since then we've been creating music and jamming together here and there. This is one of the Emamkay and Mahachii collabs that came out of one of those jamming sessions.

The combination of good feels and summer vibes are all displayed in the stunning production from Fab Beats. With old school hip hop drums that meets pop and soul with the melodious sound scapes. 
I wanted to add to this work of art, lyrics that would compliment the track but I also wanted a slight contrast - you reap what you sow. 
I'm all about showing love, doesn't matter to who. You could easily make life about you and tear people down, but one day when you are walking as a lone wolf, life could do the same to you and there will be no support you through it.

Tear You Down & Fab Beat

The collaboration between an Italian due and a South African Vocalist, "City Lights". 
From both the music to vocals, the song has a way of telling a story, taking the listener on an emotional journey through a beautiful city where the world is your oyster. 
The jazz elements and pop sounding vocals create an enjoyable ensemble that really makes the song unique and fun.
From the live drums, punchy bassline and charismatic vocals, the song really knows how to hit you in your feels.
