The follow-up to 2018's 'Looking' may initially sound like a step back in terms of the experimentalism and chaotic approach Shima had become known for. But in this concerted step back into the past, Shima33 has refound a youthful exuberance and rekindled the flame of optimism within his sound that had perhaps been missing for some time. 

In doing so, 'Comfy?' is an artist beginning to really hone in on a vision that is true to his soul. The playful personality of Shima, now famously the co-host of the beloved podcast series CANVAS on Dream Catalogue, is apparent here in the approach to the music, which returns to the natural enthusiasm for life and exhibits the chipper personality of the artist. 

The controlled chaos of Shima is now found within the range of emotions on display melodically. Inspired by traumatic events in the artist's own life, and a phoenix-like resurrection, Shima's 'Comfy?' turns the mirror back on the listeners themselves and literally asks the question that few dare to ask themselves.
