Your Blood All Over Me

Track from the album 'Zijn'.

I have recorded the acoustic guitar in my home-studio with the doors open, you can hear some background noises like birds, cars in the distance. I have added a drone to the recording and a strange delay which sampled fragments from the recorded guitar and randomly give it back.

About the album:
I have continued to work with A=432Hz tuning, exploring the possibilities of sustained sounds. I have been working towards an even more static atmosphere than on my previous albums.

I'm very interested in the role of time in this kind of music. The sounds have a different effect and meaning depending on how long they last. To me, the music becomes a vehicle to accomplish a meditative state.

Oorsprong

This track is collaboration between Mr.Wang Shuang and me.

I provided him with my noise sound.
Then he analyzed my sound in frequency and replaced it with a sine wave to reconstruct it into a great song.
So this work is mostly due to his achievements.
When I listened to this work, I was delighted with his wonderful ability to compose music.
No way my noise sound is transformed (and can be) into such a cool piece!!

The picture is from Kjøllefjord in Finnmark(North Norway) and is taken in the midnight hours(around 00:00). The stone formation you see mid-left in the picture is called "Steinkirka"(stonechurch)
Finnmark is my home place, way up north where the sun never sets in the summer months and never rises up in the winter.
The track is a live-session from yesterday(01.01.2022)
