Kevin Le Roux, aka ( The Ace of Bass) musical journey through house music began at eleven years old, when house music started to emerge in Johannesburg in the mid nineties. He got his first set of turntables as a birthday gift at twenty and was inseparable from them from the moment he started playing ,thirsty for knowledge he enrolled in an advanced dj and production course at retro music in linksfield where he graduated with honours. At twenty six years old his career came to a grinding halt ,unfortunately due to substance abuse and he remained dormant until his mid thirties where he decided to dust himself off and start again, clean and sober from drugs. He prefers to look at himself as a new updated version of his former self, instead of dwelling on the mistakes of the past.
