For the past month or so, I have been exploring the feeling of writing songs outside of my stylistic comfort zone. I've received a lot of fresh stimuli with open arms, ears, and heart; and my recent flight from the cocoon i've spent the past twenty-two years in has put my creative energy at an all time high. To me, this project represents growth and experimentation, and I feel lucky to be able to finally spend as much time as I want to creating. this 'EP' of sorts was recorded in one take, because I didn't want to produce "my best work". I wanted whoever was listening to chill with me in my bedroom. talk about the music and some other weird stuff, and to feel that butterfly feeling and recognition of guaranteed but warmly welcomed imperfections. Writing and recording on the floor of my bedroom was raw and uncontrolled, and brought me so much pleasure and energy.
