Madhouse Records returns on the 1st June (Traxsource Exclusive) / 14th June with a typically soulladen
house EP from Sebb Junior, entitled ‘Move It’ and featuring three original tracks from the
French Native.

Paris’s Sebb Junior is a relatively new name to most with only a handful of material under his belt via the
likes of San Francisco’s Salted Music headed up my Miguel Migs and Old School Department. Here we
see Sebb takes a leap in his career by joining Kerri Chandler’s long running Madhouse imprint, home to
the likes of Voyeur, Tony Lionni, Behling & Simpson and Nacho Marco.

Title cut move opens things up and sees Junior deliver a jazzy house number built around a rhythmic
New Jersey swing, fluttering Rhodes lines and dubby vocal murmurs making it a perfect fit for the
Madhouse catalogue.

Following is ‘Don’t Stop’ which lays its focus on emotive piano progressions, soaring pad lines and
classically sampled vocal chops. Closing piece ‘Let You Go’ then rounds things off on a deeper tip,
dropping the tempo and bringing smooth synth flourishes, raw drum lines and infectious R&B style
vocal hooks into the limelight.

Sebb Junior returns to Large Music for his 2nd outing and delivers an extraordinary collection of well crafted gems. Sebb picks up right where he left us earlier in the year with the Memories ep–lush analog grooves that tread boldly with tight rhythms and soaring keys. I have the last of the remixes of Romanthony's "Too Long" for you, something that will hopefully warm your heart and soul in these winter months. Why? Because we have none other than the mighty DETROIT SWINDLE on production duties. 

If anyone could take this timeless song and give it a special twist it was the Swindle. They do not disappoint. Warm moogs and spacey keys make up the funk-fuelled backing, strings soar around Roman’s gorgeous tones and all the while their tight rhythm section keeps the groove bang on. It is - in the words of my many Glaswegian friends - a BELTURRRRRRR.

Roman's style was always raw and underground and to show our respect for that I've asked Christian Nielsen - one of the finest exponents of that style today to give us his version. If you've been playing any of his recent releases on Play It Down, you'll know what to expect, solid house beats and a funky bassline deliver the groove and Roman does the rest. Bumpin' stuff. 

Lastly, for those who missed it on our Amsterdam compilation, I've included the brilliantly acidic Nice7 version in the pack.
