Nyktos formed in early 2016 but didn't have a drummer until 2018 and didn't release our debut demo until 2021.

originally Nyktos was gonna be a straight up black metal band like in the style of mayhem, darkthrone, burzum, dissection etc etc
but a strong desire to do death metal was always there so we're decided to do both that's why our debut demo is pretty inconsistent because it bounces back between black metal and then death metal by 2017 "Winter Eclipse" and "Irrevocable" were the only two songs we had which were just straight up black metal then when Erik join the band we decided to do more death metal so through 2018 to 2021 we took our time to write "what lies beyond", "Hollowed Trails" and "Mourning what once was" 

after many set backs we finally recorded with our good friend Julian Walter and we're finally able to release our debut demo
