Broken inside is a reflection and denouncement after a severely broken heart. Added to sadness, it expresses frustration and anger. However, it's also liberating, like enough is enough, and now after speaking a wave of emotions, one can move on, be happy and stronger than ever before. Musically can be integrated into the genres of Post-Punk with a touch of industrial and a good dose of 80’s nostalgia (totally unintentional, but it's there). Like if you listen to the track’s intro or into minute 2 approximately, You can transport yourself to the times of The Terminator and dance with Sarah Connor at the TechNoir Club before a T-800 breaks in and transforms the place into a carnage. Broken Inside

Halloween, a favourite season of the year. Having experienced the complex and rich tradition of El dia de los muertos when living in Mexico, Funky Pythons has taken the opportunity to fuse the elements of post-punk with the darkness of the season and explore the underworld. 

The song conveys the sense of darkness, confusion and despair of the one recently deceased. 
The music is written in D-minor hence the name. It is heavy on effects that recreate the sounds of bells calling from afar. Authentic Orkney winds were recorded to create the correct atmosphere of darkness and distance. However, the rhythmic characteristic style of Funky Pythons is evident throughout the song. 

The lyrics are based on an ancient medieval story, “the procession of hunt’, an equivalent to the purgatory. This tale describes giant black horses ridden by suffering warriors destined to pay penance until their mistakes are redeemed. The procession collects the souls of the wicked men, the reckless and the greedy. Homage is paid to classic exponents of the horror film genre, such as Vincent Price and Boris Karloff.
