Oblivion

This came out of a piece I'd been developing over a couple of weeks, searching for variations around a central theme on felt piano. After a couple of less than successful attempts at developing the track with a fixed bpm I ended up freestyling it as an improv with some subtle drones from Spitfire labs Foghorn, a unique and free library of sounds derived from recordings of the Sumburgh head Foghorn on Shetland. 
One of the options in the labs library is a selection of engine room noises from the two diesel engines that power the foghorn, I wondered whether the engine room could stand in for percussion on the track and here is the result. Thanks for taking time out to check it out.

A song for all us creative people and yes you know who you are. 
For all those times when you gave your everything and it nearly happened but not quite. It doesn’t stop you wanting to carry on with your thoughts and ideas to expand your mind. 
Your none creative friends barely ask how your creative interests are blossoming and they are oblivious to the only thing that keeps you motivated.
You have to listen in full detail about there average lives and how wonderful it is. Really!
You listen and interact and find your mind drifting to things like what shall I have for my tea later! or thinking…….put a sock in it . 
It’s makes you feel you are on another planet so just head off to the Star Wars Bar to feel normal! and interact with the rest of us freaks.
