The feeling of being young and spending the summer nights awake is not something he wants to forget.
We try to keep our inner child alive but with the absence of festivals perhaps some of us lost connection to their childhood?
The songs reflect that feeling of being alive with friends and staying up all night to dance and talk a little nonsense.

Alquimia is the first sessions I recorded while traveling through latin america. It’s a momentum of so many influences, experiences and energies. Especially Tulum had a big impact on this journey. The cleansing smell of the copal, the colour of the turquoise carribean beach, the powerful mayan vortex - all of them are woven in the sound of Alquimia.

Alquimia – a word of wisdom and knowing. How do we come to a knowing? When are we ready to receive wisdom? Especially with this podcast I want to share that sometimes it doesn’t flow at all. I tried to bring my favourite songs in a special order together but the flow wasn’t how I like it. I tried and tried and tried, almost the whole day I tried to find a solution and at the end it was impossible. Then I had to take the decision of letting go… enjoyed the rest of the night and opened myself for the momentum. It wasn’t the right time to produce a set. Next day the magic of knowing happened. Within 2 hours I created this beautiful journey without any troubles. It was just pure flow, pure guidance, pure alquimia of sound. I am so grateful to experience, that sometimes, we have to be patient, to let go, to open ourselves for the greater wisdom. When we and the time is ready we receive the knowing of selection for the right things in the right moment, to have an understanding of the whole situation, ingridients and details. To be able to hold a space and create something magical - this is what alquimia is about.

N Λ T U R R I T U awakens the memory and knowledge of our inherent nature. Connected by the organic, indigenous-inspired sound of medicine music, the gate opens to the infinite expanse of > the being <. A journey through love, gratitude, wisdom and silence. This special Mousai Mix has been curated by @morta-mor/tracks and is a female identified creators mixtape. Raised by Berlin’s club and festival culture, Morta has brought elements of inspiration to her homeland Lithuania, where she started her DJ career over a year ago. Her sound is shaped by continuously nomadic lifestyle, which represents an interesting mix of influences: she is a lover of eclecticism that brings together downtempo, organic house with ethnic elements or trippy vocal loops, afro beats, melodic breakbeats and everything that doesn't fit into a frame.

Below is a personal note from Morta Mor, sharing her intentions behind this beautifully curated mix tape.

"After making a track list to my previous mixtape I realized that basically all tracks were produced by men. Which rather makes sense, as "only 7% of the users of Ableton Live are female. The actual number of women producing electronic music appears to be not much higher - only 9% of EDM is made up of women. Even on a local scale, women in electronic music are scarce.”(Study Breaks, 2019) 

There’s a huge gender gap that still needs to be addressed. To me, becoming a DJ was a political act, so I couldn’t do anything else but take upon a challenge to produce a 100% womxn produced mix, which is what you’re going to be listening to today.  

Identifying as female wasn’t the only criteria. I put extra time and effort to make sure I represent all the diverse beauty of womanhood from diverse backgrounds, not only in terms of ethnicity, but in terms of age and the spectrum of LGBTQA+ as well.  

Please do listen carefully, as it is also telling a story. It features over 20 brilliant female artists that are a huge inspiration for me. I hope it will be for you too." - @morta-mor/tracks
