The Last Dawn

Larch mourning

Verse 1:
I feel so tired and drained today,
i can not further move Nor can i (longer)stay.
Only bitter sap flows through my roots.
I have shed almost all my leaves and left them to the wind.

Verse 2:
In spring, my buds gave off a sweetening haze.
My splendour shone in imposing colourful grace.
Once I bore splendid fruit at my branches maze.
Countless creatures came and bathed in the shade of my place.
Now It feels like i‘ve Not been to sleep for years
And I deeply lack connection with my trusted well known Peers.

Chorus:
The furrows of my bark become deeper with the years.
It feels like I'm drying up from the salt of tears.
Crude intervention in nature has a high price
For disrupting the Peace of My Life 
there‘s no apropriate apologyze.

Wicked Edge of Your Soul (Single)

Here it is, my first proper released song! I'm pretty happy how it turned out!

With it's quite angular riff, the intersecting tremolo picking bits, the contrasts in dynamics, moods and sounds, I wanted to create stark contrasts and an uneasy, tense feeling throughout the track, which is a bit of a statement about this world we found ourselves in. 
No escape from this chaos and darkness. Let's go through this together and keep our sanity and humanity...

I really didn't follow a formula for this. Rather a film-score approach of creating moods and scenes. No verse/chorus/bridge shenanigans. If there are still bits that resemble one or the other, then simply because it made sense to put it there!
