This winter, I had a flat tire on my way home. It was minus 15 degrees Celsius, too cold for my gloves if too long outside,  and at night it was minus 20. When I got back to my student dorm, I met a colleague in the hallway, who told me to keep my jacket on because the heating was broken in our part of the building. The janitor was unfortunately sick, but they were looking for a replacement for him...I turned that into this song. A note on that: Later that evening, the heating was working again...The lead guitar is a bit reminiscent of Chuck Berry style and at the end I quoted one of his famous intros. Here's my song:

For me, the key C-sharpe major on the saxophone is still ‘difficult’, so why on earth would anyone do that? In C major, it would be so easy :-) … Exciting is, the result isn’t just a semitone higher – it changes everything!
First layer, piano, second sax, each played in one go ...So everything's full of dents and bumps ;-)

Legend has it that some brave fellow named Francisco traveled throughout Colombia, going from town to town participating in fist fights, which he always emerged victorious from.
One night, as he traveled, he pulled out his accordion in a clearing in the forest and began playing some notes and singing to occupy himself as he walked.
Suddenly, he realized that every tune he played was answered by a better one from afar.
He spent several hours searching for his opponent in the darkness, to no avail.
Then Satan himself appeared before him and played a powerful song, so powerful that the light of the moon and stars were snuffed out, leaving his burning eyes as the only source of light in the night.
Understanding that this would be his greatest battle, the juglar fell to his knees, looked up to heaven, signed the cross, and prayed the Apostles' Creed forwards and backwards.
He then got up and played the most beautiful melody ever heard. The moon and stars returned to the sky. The devil let out an ear-piercing scream, and fled into the mountains, leaving Francisco as the winner of the duel and bestowing upon him the moniker of el Hombre (the Man).
Marquez introduces this character in his novel One Hundred Years of Solitude in the form of a very old man with a face wrinkled like the skin of an ancient dinosaur.
Francisco walks barefoot with his accordion from village to village, conveying news and messages from relatives and friends to people, representing himself as a song-like analogue of modern online messengers…

The Ozeaneum is a Marine aquariaum on the baltic coast of North-Germany in the city of Stralsund. It houses  large water bassins, with impressive deep-sea views.

I strongly believe we need to be awake to all peoples needs in society but like most things humans embark on, the extreme elements make us lose sight of the goal and the good intentions become counter intuitive. Woke left and right ideology and their extreme views tend to taint the good intentionality institutions try and seed with inclusivity and diversity. What happened to the center ground where most of us exist! We get it slightly wrong and then the whole mindset becomes a joke with a target on it's back instead of rationalising where we have fucked it up and fixing it!

This is a dig at how the woke extreme left gave rise to a woke extreme right and both extremes seem to want to establish unrealistic normals in society. Maybe we can't be fully awake unless we are tuned to the full spectrum of ideas and maybe that is what will allow more sensible normals flourish for larger cohorts of society

BREEZE
was founded in the year 2000 in Hannover/Germany by
Hansi Arnold (Drums,Vocals) and
Ottfried Mietzke (Guitars,Bass,Keyboards).
Intended as a recording project,the band  played live with  several line-ups  from 2006 until 2018.
 
The Music of BREEZE ist very variable,having a range from soft ballads to orchestral arrangements in epic compositions.
