for some people some music sounds like noise. “that’s just noise”, they say then, or “you call that music?”. others disagree. the distinction between music and noise is blurry and often depends on what one calls personal opinion and context. nonetheless, a lot of people agree that loud music / noise can be too much.
we tried to walk the line between music, noise, and too much by creating a self-mixed soundtrack consisting of different layers of music / noise overlayed with snippets from our interviews.
