This song began as a mostly fully fleshed out idea from Chris. He presented it to the rest of Eclectic Collective as a bass line with a rhythm guitar chugging the goove. Awesomely powerful groove, but pretty stripped down compared with the final version.

We did this in an odd order this time, for no particular reason. Probably because Chris' bass groove was so strong, Mark was able to first add his ripping organ throughout, inspired by Deep Purple. Tez, again surprisingly, was able to add the fiery solos at the end and the intro, even before the drums were up. Although, we didn't have to wait long for that, because Ken filled them in perfectly, as he always does. Once the structure and rhythm section was complete, Josh decided to add the synth solo in the middle, at the crescendo, which he really enjoyed doing. Stephen came last to the party, but replaced Chris' rudimentary rhythm guitar with a fierocious, but more riff oriented, and less chordy line throughout.

Once it was in the bag, Chris was the natural choice to mix it, since his productions are always top quality, and it was his song to begin with. During the production, he also decided to add the guitar, including the an e-bow like device called a SandStone that sounds a bit like a synth, and vocal tones to the middle and end. He also added the vocalizations you hear in those parts, as well.

This is an example of an Eclecitic Collective song started by Chris, whose music we adore and with whom are always excited to work. “I read that “Teenage Dirtbag” was recorded in a house basement. I was inspired. This song is a reflection of the excitement I got back in the day as a new young musician in a band where you had no budget, loaded in to a run down studio, pressed record and left the session hours later with a raw final mix on CD. It was amazing. I wanted to get back to that in sound and spirit and to capture it I used my fantastic rusty stringed, completely tuned by ear £65 Stratocaster copy with little post production editing or mixing. When tracking I had early Foo Fighters and “Clarity/Static Prevails” era Jimmy Eat World in mind. Like those early days this was written/recorded/mixed in a few hours. “college rock.” centres around a person finding solace in music and guitar and considers the decline of guitar in mainstream music today, is nostalgic about the impact of guitar bands and USA radio college Rock music in the 1990’s and simply gets back to that optimism of JUST ROCKING OUT.”

This one is a very nostalgic song that I wrote back in 2008, it has that early 60's vibe to it. My wife I needed some good vibrations since we were dealing with her Breast Cancer treatments and all that. We really needed a feel good song and so I wrote this. I even got her to sing background vocals with me on two songs at that time, this being the first and "Back In Younger Days" being the second, I'll be making a video on that one later on this year. 
    I double-tracked Charlie's vocals and he sang it perfectly! I remember having a real good time at these sessions, lots of laughing and finger snapping and rockin' & rollin' and what not!😂 I always want to relive the good ole days where smiles were plenty and frowns were few, like on "Memory Lane"!

     The video is brand spanking new, I just finished it last week! I worked hard on it for several days and tried to capture that Beach Boys kind of vibe of the early 1960's. I finished the video after hearing the sad news of Brian Wilson's passing on June 11th, 2025. That really made me sad, another of my musical hero's now gone. He was a real musical genius! There are 3 parts to the song, all about guys begging forgiveness from their girlfriends for something stupid that guys always seem to do, I Still Remember that!😂
     I think this is one Miami Jeff's best songs and certainly one of my favorites. It's very catchy and is a perfect summertime song! So I hope everyone is having a great summer and is eager to take another trip down Memory lane with me. This time to the beach! Let your hair down, take your shoes off, put the top down on the convertible and let the good times roll! Ooh, Ooh! Ooh!😎✌🏼

"Newer Unknown Breeds" was at the time a further development in sound for Blink Twice. The album expanded on the techno and electro genre much more than Blink Twice's debut "Other Locations". There was an increase usage of sampling on this collection of material, often with looped effects incorporated to add further density. With the blend of tribal and industrial elements remaining, it serves as an adventurous concoction of experimental rhythmic and darker ambient electronic music.

The underlying theme of "Newer Unknown Breeds" was the observance of mutations (both deliberate and natural) within organisms. Evolutionary results of obscure creatures and their advancement and place in the biological field.

Hi again, been a while !

After five years apart from composing and creating ; I tried to take the time and not pressure myself ; making what I like and do the "best". Experiencing the lack of imagination for so long is quite difficult but, in the end, you'll find a way in the ocean of melodies and mix it up to new pieces. I'm happy to find the path to creation again, after so long. Hope you'll enjoy this very new stuff.

Another notable one is the project with my friend from Kansas City - Nathaniel Ehrnman. Together we created a quiet track called "Good Days”. In the next track called 'Clouds', our friend Bill Brooks (Remnant60) joined our duo (Nathaniel and me) on synthesizers. This combination of different musical styles gave an interesting final result, so I invite you to listen to the both songs (produced by Remnant60)🍀

A short time later, another project followed: "Between Us”. Bill Brooks (Remnant60) added his synthesizers to my guitar part and also took care of the production of this song! This is how the combination of surf music with electronica came about. 🌔
Our next collaborative piece between Bill Brooks and myself is titled: „Things Change”. Bill added his synths and bass to my guitar track and also took care of the production and mixing. The end result is available on our profiles! 😎
