ようやく自分が満足する音作りができるようになってきたので、4で一番好きな曲を作りました。
いやー、かっこいい。
ホントいい曲です。

Thunder Force Ⅳより Metal Squad

Wendy's theme is an underrated song in an already-underrated soundtrack, so I wanted to give it some much-needed love!

This was a challenging remix with all the tempo changes and complex layering, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Also put it in a new key, just because.

Fun fact: The original song, despite claiming to be in G, is actually in C. I guess you could argue that they meant G mixolydian, but that seems like a stretch tbh.

That 7/8 time sure is something, huh?

I actually really like the treasure-hunting stages in SA2, though I wouldn't call Mad Space one of my favorites. The localized gravity mechanic is pretty neat though, almost like a precursor to Super Mario Galaxy.

A version of Lava Reef Act 1 from Sonic & Knuckles Collection played using instruments from my Korg 01/w. I initially wrote it all in a combi and then recorded the instruments seperately and processed them afterwards.

This clarinet quartet was written originally for four bass clarinets but in this form provides a ‘groovy’ addition to the standard clarinet quartet repertoire. It has been enjoyed in quartet performances by players and audiences alike and is a great work-out for the bass clarinetist.
