Sonic Radiance! 

This is my take on what a PS1 Sonic game soundtrack might’ve sounded like if composed by a UK producer in the 90s (based around demo works from JP composers, i.e. Riko here). A weird hypothetical, yes, but it sparked creativity that's stuck with me for the past year.

This is the Main Menu theme, the first theme you hear after exiting the title screen. I pictured Sonic and Tails' 3D models dancing at a club whilst making this, with the intent of giving the game a slightly more mature feel, but not an over the top one. The PS1 to me has always felt like a step away from the "games are just for kids" mindset, so I could imagine SEGA leaning into that.

was always a sort of bucket list dream of mine to do a racing game soundtrack entirely with super mario kart instruments. alas, convincing racing game developers to let me do this proved to not really be feasible. so i just did this song for fun instead.

I am so incredibly nervous about uploading this, it's such a bittersweet feeling.

On one hand, I'm basically accomplishing my dream of making music, REAL music. I love what I do as a chiptune artist, but that was never my true goal. FL Studio was gifted to me years ago, and Tee Lopes was the only reason I wanted it back then. Now that I've completed this secret project after all this time, everything has come fulll circle, especially the absolutely perfect timing giving the recent news at the time of writing this!

On the other hand, this was the most torturous, agonizing project I have ever had to work on so far. One thing about me is that I NEED to stay organized. If I don't have organization, I will fall apart. Despite my best efforts to stay organized and clean, I still found myself very lost and frustrated no matter how much I tried to stay on track. This would end up causing me to click something by mistake and potentially ruining entire sections of the song. I will probably never do this again, but I would be lying if I said the suffering wasn't worth it.

I don't think I will ever be more grateful that I wasn't alone in this. If it wasn't for Matt's guidence, this project wouldn't exist, and I'm so happy it's finally finished!

Boss Battle

This was the first of my collabs that happened by complete accident, but I'm not complaining. 

I decided to use the arcade chip for this one because I wanted to do something new, but I needed guidence since I had no idea what I was doing so I asked Uhrwerk. So guidence just turned into "Hey you want to just collab? Every change is so beautiful and you helped me out so much!" One thing led to another and here we are! 

It was an honor working with you Uhrwerk! I can't wait to do more projects with you in the future!
