RC B2B Guest Mix Series 2

Happy Fri-yay Crew,

Here we are again, with the second series of RC B2B Vol 11, plus I am very pleased to welcome my good friend Lee Dymott @leedymott A.K.A. lee on vinyl.

What can I say, about my mate Lee, that I haven’t shared previously.

Well, from the late 1980's through to 2005 he DJ'd regularly at various parties and clubs, including the Ministry of Sound, Bar Rumba, E1, and The Hot Bubblegum to name but a few.

In the mid 1990's Lee and two friends, another DJ, plus a sound engineer, started to produce their own original tracks and release them on their own label, plus tout some out through collaborations with Simon Dunmore's on his Diffusion label (a spin off of AM:PM) and Grant Nelson's Swing City label, as well as having tracks licenced to other labels including Azuli. They also remixed an Alison Limerick track along with MousseT @moussetgram and had their tracks remixed by the likes of Grant Nelson @grantnelsonmusic and Lenny Fontana @lennyfontana 🫡🎧🎶💥

Much water under the bridge, a bit of family time bringing up two boys, plus a few pets along the way… and now he's back, with a new pair of 1210's, the trusted Numark mixer, and boxes full of vinyl.

His musical taste is born out of those early days at the MoS, watching the likes of CJ Mackintosh, Knuckles, Humphries, Carpenter, Vega & Gonzalez, Sanchez and Morales… a combination of Soulful, Funky, Deep and Dirty House, with a sprinkling of Gospel.

I have been a big fan of Lisa for quite a while now, after meeting Sharan @shooshi1977 and Clare @clarestellasmith (on twitch virtually in lockdown and then IRL at MG’s Sultra parties) and them both raving (literally) about the legendary nights at Downtown Disco 💃🪩🕺💥🔥!

I had the pleasure of also meeting Lisa IRL at the Michael Gray’s Sultra night back in September this year, having already approached her about doing a guest mix, so it was wonderful to finally meet, plus chat all things 🎧🎶💃🪩🕺🙌🫡😊🙏

Lisa has had the pleasure of gracing DJ booths at some of Northern England's finest club spaces and festivals and beyond.

She has also held a residency at the award winning
Downtown Disco for the last 3 years and has appeared on the same lineups as some of the biggest names in the business including The Shapeshifters, Mousse T, Dr Packer, Bob Sinclar, Melvo Baptiste, Greg Wilson and more.

She was also the winner of the best emerging DJ 2022 & 2023 at the OGV music awards.

Lisa has also produced tracks on ‘Good For You Records’ and ‘Let There Be House’.

Hugely humbled and grateful that Lisa agreed to come on and do a cracking mix for you all to enjoy 🙏🎧🎶😊😎
