I was feeling a little rebellious when I wrote this one...  Every time a law is passed, our freedoms are diminished.  I have tremendous respect for our country and freedom. But the price for that freedom, as it has been said, is eternal vigilance.

When will all the violence stop?  What can we do? Mass shootings at schools, driving into parades, child abuse, spouse abuse, riots...when will it all end? I woke up this morning with a heavy heart and decided to offer this song for those who might want to listen.

Streets Of Heaven

Lord It Was A Good Day was written just after my friend and lead guitar player, Dennis Norton's, wedding. As I was returning home late that night exhausted, I was hearing the voices inside my head by the many friends who had told me repeatedly that I needed to slow my life down and that I was a work-a-holic. And I was...and still am. But on the drive home, that issue was settled once and for all.... Of course, I had to write a song about it. The song tells the story as it actually happened driving down the back country roads with the top down on a beautiful summer night. I heard the message clearly... "Did it ever occur to you that I made you that way?"

Lord It Was A Good Day

This song was written through the eyes of, and about the life of, a close friend who decided to give up battling his demons. There are many people around us who are simply troubled souls...sometimes all we can do is love them.
