Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

The first single from Eades upcoming EP, 'Fade Away' will be released on the 13th March via Bam Bam Records.

"It’s a story that spans from adolescence, into early adulthood and eventually into being middle aged. It’s about coming to terms with not making a dent in life socially or culturally, making peace with normality and accepting that you’ll eventually fade away to be forgotten, but enjoying the ride nonetheless. Complacently enjoying life and living in the moment to a degree that potentially has a negative effect on the future.

‘Save Tonight’ is a song about letting go. Lyrically inspired by being in the moment and forgetting the ‘weight of the world’. We all have nights or experiences where everything aligns for us and it feels like magic. That weightless feeling where time becomes irrelevant and the good times take flight. These nights are rare but that's what  makes them so special.

Spencer states “Sonically we wanted a fast upbeat british-summer-festival-esque anthem to match the narrative of the lyrics” / “Nights that are special end as fast as they start”. That's how I wanted the song to feel.”

‘Save Tonight’ is 2 minutes and 50 seconds of electrifying yet melodic guitar riffs and trademark catchy-choruses with driving drum rhythms setting a euphoric and heady pace throughout.  

2024 is undoubtedly destined to be a fantastic year for the band with plans already afoot to take the stage alight with several headline gigs already in the pipeline. 
‘Save Tonight’ was written by Aaron Spencer and was recorded at Oscillate Recordings in Knutsford with producer Chris Smith.

“‘Return To The East’ is about going back to your roots, back to simplicity and in turn overcoming doubt, reclaiming personal identity and finding clarity and strength in who you are. 

It was written during a visit to my hometown of Montrose, on the East Coast of Scotland. I was on a bike ride towards Lunan Bay on a sun-drenched day when I entered a deep reflection triggered by the landscape around me. The sea, wild grasses and ploughed fields transported me back to my childhood. I was not long out of university at the time and was trying to find my feet, figure out who I was and what I wanted away from the external noise of city life in Glasgow and the influence of others.”

Inspired by a conversation with my Grandmother, I increasingly realise the value of time. Make memories with those you love, because it may be your only legacy.
