Favorite song out of the whole mod. Great instrumental and vocals, they mesh together so well. They can work great on their own but together, they're a whole different beast. You can hear the vocals but they're quiet enough for you to hear the instrumental. Every part sounds great without excessively having to use Matt's voice clips. The instrumental has a nice charm to it where it feels like you're floating especially with the added voice in the background that has it's own catchy melody, which sounds like Boyfriend by the way. Same with the "Go man, go". The 808s are used sparingly and are beautiful, even the ending and beginning feel like a great send-off & start-up/drop. The drums are nice and simple, especially the kick. It has a nice pattern that work well with the snare, not overlapping each other, giving the other space like if it was a choreographed cheer/dance group. The snare is nice and loud to where you can feel the impact but simple enough to know when it's coming so it doesn't catch you off guard and scare you, although, it is a bit too loud but it depends on the person. Personally for me, it's nice but people have opinions just like mine for this whole song. The fades are beautiful throughout the song as well. The riser & cymbals are beautiful sounding, especially the riser sounding so nice with the reverb on the cymbal at the end as well. The Hi-Hats being simple to the point where they aren't clouding the whole beat and aren't too loud to be noticeable. Only to be noticeable when you specifically hear for it, like a beautiful camouflaged lizard. The sample/loop is beautiful as well, using the nice simple specific part of loop for most of the beat and then using the beginning part of the Cymatics sample for the ending & beginning. Even though it is a Free Cymatics Sample, Revilo really finished it & added their own flair to the beat like they made their own special sauce/seasoning with a already good steak. Beat is practically perfect, except for it being too short. Matt's vocals are better than they have ever been before, having access to hold notes and fast samples that sound raspy but beautiful like a partner's beautiful morning voice. The voice samples of, 'Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro' being amazing as well, fitting perfectly with the song instead of like in Boxing Match where it's used once to start-up a separate section. In this song, 'Clouds', it's used beautifully multiple times to emphasize the beat fading or just sounding good in the middle of boyfriend singing. It's also used well in parts/sections while in the middle of Matt singing/rapping. The fast part is beautiful since Boyfriend doesn't inherently copy Matt's vocals, instead, freestyling while Matt pops off in the background. The sword sound effects, I wish they were in the instrumental but they sound amazing with the vocals. Matt & Boyfriend singing together is beautiful as well, they harmonize so well during some parts, they don't take over the other person's vocals, you can still make out the other one's vocals loud & clear. They also start singing before the other is finished which makes their harmonization even more beautiful, like they know what the other is going to do, especially after 1000 Wiiks. They start immediately singing as the beat pops off, no waiting/start-up time, they just pop off right from the start like they have choreographed & practiced this before hand. The art looks like Sonic & Shadow together from Sonic Adventure 2. BF & Matt, iconic duo after 1000 Wiiks. Boyfriend's raspy-ish voice; While still being the high-pitched & squeaky BF we all know and love, also makes this sound amazing, fitting with Matt's vibe. Sounding more like a cute & tired child.
