October 1st 2015 saw John Digweed celebrate seventeen years of Bedrock with a momentous party at one of Londons most distinguished venues, XOYO. "Normally I know that high expectations kill the vibe, so I always try to walk my way open minded and don’t expect anything special from the future, but this time I couldn’t help it. When the Robot told me that she wanted me to play the sunrise set and that we will be connected with the Mayan Warrior soundsystem, I could feel it already in Berlin a full three weeks before… Then when I finally took the bus over to Robot Heart it was even better than in my craziest expectations. This gig was by far the most emotional gig I have ever played. All I can say is thank you, I am even more happy now to be born on this weird planet which can be really beautiful sometimes, when you give it  chance to be free. Thank you you for dancing with me and giving me so much Love. So here is my try to give something back.

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

We are playing Ed’s music for quite a long time now. 'Silver Walks' on Maeve might have been our favorite record of 2016. We never met in person though, until we played together at the Block in Tel Aviv this spring. We had a brief but nice conversation and stayed in contact after that. So the idea came up to do something together. The result is this wonderful mini album… four club tracks and three interludes, each creating different moments and vibes for the dancefloor. 

'Festnetz' is Ed’s vision of modern Acid House; trippy, electronic, Acid without a 303. 'Severance' is the late night tip for us. What depth this track has. It demonstrates the contrast between darkness and light perfectly!

'Rain' has been tried and tested several times at Panorama Bar and the Block Tel Aviv - definitely a secret weapon for Ed and for us. 'Inner Senser' is the perfect sunset record, or also for the early morning. Beautiful, long and continuous… from heartache to euphoria!

Life can be puzzling with all its never-ending flow of vicissitudes. The constant turmoil of the soul can lead to losing ground. When Manea, Goddess of madness, takes possession of a man's mind, he is no longer his own self but stands beside it with cleft mind. No longer himself, under influence, alienated, he feels no rest until she finally leaves him... If she ever does. 

Divagations Cosmiques is an artistic attempt to express Madness through music, but in a relatively restrained way. As if it acted both as a straitjacket to keep delusion under control, and a relieving sedative to ease the soul.

He’s been lying from the very beginning. I don’t need him any- more... No! I have never needed him. His presence is unbearable to me. I break our links and I tell him to go away. He does not want to. So, I run.

Entry Nr. 393: I am exhausted but I move faster. I feel that if I stop I’m going to be his prisoner. The more I move away, the more I have the impression that I discern the right path. Yes! it is the right direction, I know. I turn back. He is not here anymore. To think about it, he has never been here. I was him and he is not me anymore. I laugh. I found my path: No more allured. I was cured.

D-Nox & Beckers are back on JEUDI with their 2nd contribution to the label. Enough is said about these two well establish legends of the underground with wide spanning careers established since the 90s.Moreover we added another grand seigneur of the house and techno scene. The french wizard Sebastien Leger signed responsible for the remix duties. D-Nox & Beckers Disorder is maxing out the simple idea of one odd shifting arp motive rocking the whole track. Strange Days is a solo track of Frank Beckers. We were hooked by the psychodelic ambience of the tune at once. Beckers showing of his mastership of creating weird and trippy arp line tunes combined with undeniable dancability. Sebastien Leger remix of Disorder is playing creatively with the dominant main motive mangeling it straightening it and showing a beautiful new view on the original with a strong affection for the dance floor. A diversified collection of well experienced works we are very keen to present.
