I guess I have heard enough about white or black or purple "supremacy " and learned enough from history that there isn't any "race" that has proven to be superior or actually much different from any other. All seem to have the same good qualities and bad qualities and make the same good judgements and bad ones.To me the issue is can we collectively learn from the past and go forward to a better place. I am an optimist (believe it or not) so let's see how we do.

This was sparked after listening to "American made" by the oak ridge boys(one of my favorite vocal groups)

America is strong because our people came
from every country on earth to stake their claim
Except for the Iroquois Apache or Sioux
there is no such thing as an "American race"

We weren't built by white men alone
yellow black brown and red sang the same song
along the way we all got a little black and blue
but we somehow managed to pull the girl through

we each have our heritage
it's different from the rest
but that difference is our strength
no one is the best

so remember where we came from and how we got here
don't be blinded by the light of those preaching fear
instead listen to the words in every sacred scroll
ever written on this planet from the days of old
tolerance,respect and love should guide your soul
