thread heads with a bless let’s levitate out of a workaday mind state - feel the love now - let’s generate betterment of positive elements how we resonate one vibration in a love frequency bigger than you it’s bigger than me - peace bomb from the many to the few pulling people together when our voice speaks true - that’s why we’re up here that’s what we do - speak from the heart to the heart in you and when I open my mind and you’re in me too I see the full 360 degrees of the view and I hold the horizon in my hand map my islands in a grain of sand - that’s what a poet got to live life for - sing with the waves where they break on the shore

to make a rhyme between me and you

all we got to be is reaching in
til we begin living in the lines of the poetry

breath specific rhythm in it - commit to the craft and we live it - find our reality hidden in a lyric - breathing meaning in the life of its spirit - inhale life inspirate - we’re easy to rule when we individuate - easy to control when the brain separates from the heart sleep walking living in the dark - that’s why poets gotta shine so bright - show the world that we got the inner light - that’s why poets can’t go mainstream - we gotta keep a distance to hold the dream cuz the mainstream can’t take the way that we talk - lost in celebrity obsessed with sport - can’t transmit to the heart of the source - can’t share the path that the ancestors walk

my brother walks beside me
he carries a choir of records under one arm
a roll of blank canvass under the other
he brings them the better to cover my dreams in ocean

my brother sits across from me
so quiet about himself - soft eyes smiling
our trainers touch tentative under the table
he’s laced his hi-tops with horizons
only he can see beyond

my brother sleeps beside me
his choir hums a lullaby blue
he dreams a deeper silence
reminds me of the gentle acres
graced between the beats of our repeated songs

my brother lives inside me
he draws some more of oceans here
calls the evening tide here to meet me
an echo in the wave breaks falling from my hands


I hold the poem for comfort
written along those far horizons
he’s tied timeless to my heart
