 Yonela Henge is a singer and songwriter based in Cape Town, Souh Africa. At the age of nine years, Yonela became part of the church choir and choral music choir at school. She continued singing in community music groups, performing at local concerts and events. 
Yonela spontaneously wrote her first song at age 19 and continues to find her voice in an ever changing world through song-writing.

Yonela became a member of a professional gospel group ‘Soulshad Praise Band', where a DVD with her as one of the leading vocalists was released in 2016, and aired on OneGospel. 

She released a dancehall single featuring Del titled ‘Stay in love’ in January 2017, which became a hit on Malawian radio stations.

In 2019, she formed a band with musicians from around Southern Africa. The band's musical style focuses on cheerful, upbeat and slow jams. Playing Yonela's original music and cover songs.
Late last year, on the 1st of September 2020, she released a house song titled 'My Heart', which is available on all streaming platforms. The hook is catchy and the sound is happy feel-good. Staying true to her unique writing style, her sound appeals to all genres and age groups. Her music style is Afro rock. She has redefined the genre by infusing Afro jazz, Pop,R&b, House, with hints of hip hop.
