Elegiac Songs, is a book of poetry by Eeshita Azad published by Journeyman Books (Feb. 2018).
Eeshita Azad is a communications specialist and an Arts event organiser with a career spanning 15 years in New York, London and Dhaka. She is an enlisted writer, translator for Foreign Version, UK, and a trained graphic designer from FIT, NY, USA. As the co-founder of Drishtipat Creative, a UK based Arts collective, she co-wrote plays and poetry for the fundraising shows. She was the former Head of Arts at British Council, Bangladesh and currently working for Bengal Group as Director, Creative Planning. She is a performance poet. She has been performing her poetry since 2006. She won best performer at the International Woman’s Day Poetry jam, RichMix, London 2007.
