Hey there! Welcome to Nancy’s Cry, a part of Unhinged Music. We’re a bold and ambitious social justice non-profit record label.

I’m super excited to share a musical project that our team is working on.

In February 2023, I (Neil) had open heart surgery. It was a nine-hour operation that left me physically and mentally tough during my recovery. After the surgery, I took some time to reflect on my life and experiences. I found comfort in writing down my thoughts, emotions, and scary dreams. These raw feelings eventually became a collection of songs that express a wide range of feelings, from sadness and anger to love, regret, and revolution.

I created the alter ego of Dick Dyme to represent the unfiltered emotions in this music. He’s the voice inside me that brings on the crazy, the anger, the passion, the danger, and the desire for change.

I can’t sing, but I can play the bass guitar pretty well. I can’t mix or produce music, but I don’t care. The music isn’t great, but that’s not the point. It’s about the message behind the music and the power it has given me. I love music with all my heart and soul, and I’m proud of what I’ve created.

The album and EP are not for the faint of heart or mainstream pop music. They’re called “The Anger” and “Underground Chaos Theory,” respectively, by my band, Nancy’s Cry.

This music is more than just music. I want to use it to raise awareness about mental health issues and support young people who struggle with mental health problems. They often face discrimination because of their struggles, and they can wait up to two years to get support and be assessed. So, if you’re reading this, we need your support to make this ambitious project a reality.  

We’re looking for talented musicians, promotion and social media professionals, and anyone else who’s passionate about amplifying our message.

Our goal is to raise £100,000 through the album and EPs release. We want to make the band a non-profit organisation and our biggest dream is to host the largest real-time fundraising download at festivals across the UK in 2025/26. Imagine thousands of people downloading the music at the same time, all in support of mental health awareness.
