Detroit artist Javonntte’s third album for Ten Lovers Music continues the theme set by the 2019 album No Rush and the 2020 album Runaway Galaxy. Flight 77 is full of summer jazz fusion grooves for the dancefloor now the world is getting back to something like normal. Javonnttes unmistakeable trademark sound runs through all the tracks on this album with Annette being a tribute to his mother who introduced him to jazz. Free Your Soul written by Caruso and Javonntte rounds off the album with a reprise by label boss Steve Conry.

This song is dedicated to a great friend, more than a friend, a brother and a great drummer and percussionist Miguel Assis. An extremely talented musician and a human being who is dedicated to doing good for people.

A2 - Chick:
Chick is also one of my main references; Along with Michel, Hermeto, Herbie, Zawinul, McCoy and other great pianists and composers I love so much. I was still a child, entering adolescence, then suddenly someone lent me a vinyl record in 1991/92 of the album The Chick Corea Elektric Band. It was a shock to hear and came to define that I would like to be a pianist and keyboard player forever. The song “Chick” was inspired by a video lesson by Chick. Much love to Chick's family. Thank you so much for everything, Maestro Chick!

AA1 - Samba for Petrucciani:
Michel Petrucciani is one of my biggest references. This song was inspired by a song called “Bite”; A samba-jazz by Michel Petrucciani. I was shocked to hear it for the first time on the Michel Petrucciani Live album in a white and blue cover. Much love for the Petrucciani family.

AA2 - Maraca - Funk
This song is a fusion of a Brazilian rhythm called “Maracatu” with Funk in the style of Herbie with The Headhunters. Herbie is my biggest influence and main reference. It's everything I wanted to be as an adult! I love you, maestro Herbie Hancock!

AA3 - Change of Plan:
This song is dedicated to the memory of my father, Freddy Escobar, my mentor, who “changed his plans prematurely” because of Covid-19. One of the biggest pains of my life. Daddy was a very good guy as a human being and, I believe he didn't die, because good people don't die, they just change planes, when the physical body doesn't work right anymore. I love you forever, Daddy.

This is the New Brazilian Trio EP because this trio with Miguel Assis and Michael Pipoquinha was born, initially for this record. But it became a project, a band and not just the “Erik Escobar show”. I intend to keep this trio forever, I love these wonderful guys and I have a deep admiration for them as musicians and as human beings.

Thank you very much for the opportunity of this partnership with Ten Lovers Music, so that this project could be born, my friend Steve!

First up on side A we have that man again Stefano De Santis with Broken Fusion, a typically wonderful track pushing all the right buttons, a much darker affair than his previous three tracks for us. Following on from there we have Melchior Sultana who rounds off side A in style, where Malta meets Detroit, a peak time track for the dancefloor. This is Melchiors third appearance on one of our Best Of Various compilations and all three are superb pieces of music. Onto side AA and Jose Rico with two tracks both superb deep journies into Detroit musical territory. Jose is joined on both by Ruben Valero, both Silence Sentences and Minimalism are must have tracks for anyone who is a fan and follows Jose's music. Finally Caruso serve up some Latin inspired music and beats for a heavy workout.

Percussionist Takashi Nakazato is well known for his work with Jazztronik and Kyoto Jazz Massive and is now back on Ten Lovers Music with a stunning new Japanese Latin Jazz EP. The Takashi Nakazato Set are the following musicians featuring over the four tracks;

Willy Calderon (Timbales), Yu Hagiwara (Alto Sax/Soprano Sax), Kei Ishi (Baby Bass), Miwa Kashima (Rhodes/Piano), Ryo Kawasaki (Electric Bass/Double Bass), Takahiro Miyazaki (Tenor Sax), Oli Savill (Congas), Ayumi Suzuki (Vibraphone/Marimba), Mitsuru Tanaka (Trumpet), Hayato Yamazaki (Drums) and of course Takashi Nakazato himself (Batá Drums, Cheqere, Cowbell, Claves, Wind Chime, Chaworó, Congas, Bongo, Catá, Iyá, Vibra Slap, Cymbal).

The EP was mixed by Eiji Hirano at Studio Happiness in Japan and mastered by Jose Rico in Madrid, Spain. All four tracks are quality pieces of music in their own right and we were more than happy to commit this to vinyl.

Takashi Nakazato Presents The Takashi Nakazato Set - Secret Society EP - TLM032

TLM033 introduces a new series to Ten Lovers Music, The Coin EP's all with one track either side of a 12". On the A side we have Cumulative Collective with Suede Bear. Musicians involved in this ever growing project are Roderick Stewart on Bass, Stefano De Santis on Keys, Takashi Nakazato on Percussion, Luke Radford on Sopranino Saxophone and Ayumi Suzuki on Vibraphone. Using musicians from the United Kingdom, Japan and Italy this has a truly international feel to it. The track was produced, arranged and programmed by Steve Conry who also mixed the track along with Stefano De Santis.

Onto side AA and we have Re:Fill with their track Live Vibe. As the name suggests the track was recorded live in Rome, Italy in one take. Re:Fill are Gaetano De Carli on Drums and Stefano De Santis on Keys and they have previously released on Italy's Cognitiva Records.

As always Jose Rico takes care of mastering duties keeping that TLM sound.

Marcello Cassanelli is back on Ten Lovers Music after previously appearing on TLM030 with the incredible track Fantasia. This time Marcello delivers a fantastic 7" project for us with two superb tracks where he plays keys, bass, percussion and drum programming himself. He also wrote, produced and mixed both the tracks.

On the A side Espresso is an uptempo number showcasing Marcello's trademark sound just superb music which carries on with the AA side They Groove which slows the tempo down but still keeps his unique sound running throughout the track. An exciting release to start 2024.

TLM034 will be our 45th release since 1996 and 25th since reforming the label in 2019. It seemed inevitable that this release would be one of our Best Of Various EPs featuring new and established artists as we have done previously. Starting off this milestone release we have the ever growing Cumulative Collective with AskaFara. An Epic 10 minute track pushing all the right buttons for listening and the dancefloor alike. Featuring musicians Cormac Fulton and Stefano De Santis on Keys, Takashi Nakazato on Percussion, Ayumi Suzuki on Vibraphone and Mitsuru Tanaka on Trumpet. All brought together by Steve Conry who also produced and mixed the track with Stefano De Santis. Track 2 on the A side is by a new name to most, Takahiro Fuchigami with Strange Acquaintance. A beautiful broken beat track with a distinctively Japanese sound.
	Onto side AA and that kicks off with Melchior Sultana and The Playground. Melchior has previously released on TLM in 2022 and 2023. For 2024 he delivers a superb jazzy deep house track in his own particular Mediterranean style. Next up is Brazilian multi instrumentalist Fabio Santanna with Melô Da Cuíca, a fantastic Brazilian Boogie track. Fabio came to our attention from his release Chega Mais Lincoln on Joutro Mundo's superb Brazilian label Onda Boa. Finally rounding off the AA side is The Robinson from Italy with Song 1. A brilliant blues tinged broken beat track that gets better every time you hear it.

Stefano De Santis kicks off this Best Of Various with Murk, as the name suggests its a dark workout from one of Rome’s finest producers. Following that are Batavia Collective from Jakarta When we first heard the live demo for this we were blown away and had to get it out on TLM. Batavia Collective are Elfa Zulham on drums, Doni Joesran on keys and Kenny Gabriel on synth bass. All mixed by Stefano De Santis. Rounding off the A side we have Cormac Fulton and his follow up to Perplexed on TLM025 with a new track called Loungeware. Based in Salford this is another atmospheric track from Cormac featuring Netherlands born but now Rio de Janeiro based flautist Floor Polder. Floor also appeared on Steve Conry’s rework of Guinu - Eletromadinga which featured on Colin Curtis Presents Jazz Dance Fusion 4 Part 2. Loungeware was mixed by Steve Conry and Matt Cox. 

Onto the AA side and we have Montreal resident Mike Perras with Soullous, a superb dancefloor track, live drums and amazing keys, in fact everything you want from house music. Next up is Future Jazz Ensemble from Vibo Valentia who follow on from their Rough Time EP TLM028 and appearance on TLM030 with another broken jazz monster of a track called Over The Rainbow. Finishing off side AA is Takahiro Fuchigami from Fukuoka with another fine track called Outer Heaven a great follow up to Strange Acquaintance which was on TLM034.

Caruso return to Ten Lovers Music with guest vocalists CJ and Chrissi Roper on this 7” single. On the A side we have Thank You featuring CJ over some tough Broken Beats. One for the dancefloor for sure. Onto the AA side and Breathe For Me features Chrissi Roper on vocals. The vocals were totally improvised and recorded in one take giving it that live feel. Both tracks were produced, mixed and arranged by Steve Conry and Stefano De Santis in the Summer this year and definitley have that timeless vibe.

We end the year with the second in our series of The Coin EP’s featuring a different artist on each side. In case you missed Volume 1 - TLM033 it featured Cumulative Collective and Re:Fill in September 2023.
	This time on side A we have Italian brothers The Robinson who have previously released their track Song 1 on TLM034. They are back once again with two superb jazz infused house tracks, Passion Is The Key and A Satisfying Day. Both ideal for the dancefloor.
	Moving onto the AA side and someone who has become a TLM regular, namely Japanese artist Takahiro Fuchigami who supplies us with three amazing tracks; Jazzing Bird, How’s That Sound? and In Motion. Fantastic broken beat from one of Japan’s rising stars. First release of 2025 is The Coin EP Vol.3. Marcello Cassanelli is back on Ten Lovers Music with two stunning tracks and a beautiful outro solo on his Rhodes. Starlight kicks off side A with some superb Italian Disco for 2025, following that a trip to Cuba for Tropical Breeze on which Marcello employs long time collaborators and super talented Giulia Barozzi on vocals and Antonio Rapa on drums. Across both tracks Marcello plays the keys, bass, flute, guitar and drum programming. Rounding off side A is Dream Horizon an improvised one minute beatless outro jam on the Rhodes.

	On the AA side we have a new project from Caruso and Helen McCormack. First up is Have and Hold which harks back to the Manchester Street Soul scene of the late 80’s. Very simply constructed with electronic drums, bass, piano and a lead synth on top of which Helen’s vocal sits perfectly. Second on side AA is Love You More, a very atmostpheric track written by Helen with the strings arranged by Cormac Fulton. The percussion is from fellow TLM artist Takashi Nakazato (Kyoto Jazz Massive/Jazztronik). Both tracks were produced by Steve Conry who also assisted Jose Rico on the mixes. Finally to finish on side AA is Central, a beautiful Deep House instrumental using only real analogue synths like the Solina String Ensemble, ARP Odyssey and Oberheim Xpander, mixed by Steve Conry and Matt Cox.

Kicking off our 50th vinyl only release since 1996 Canadian Mike Perras is back with a new Jazzy House track called Life Goes On. A fantastic Rhodes driven groove that you never want to end. Next up is a track from Englands Craig Bratley head of the Magic Feet record label. Anima is a classic Deep House track featuring Tim Hutton on trumpet. Mark Turner also from England rounds off the A side with his Kevin Hedge (Blaze) tribute affectionately titled Tribute To Hedge.

	On the AA side we have DFRA Experience Jazz Band from Argentina with a track called Isolation. A superb laid back Jazz track composed and produced by Diego Ruiz with Pablo Raposso on Piano, Hernán Cassibba on Double Bass, Gonzalo Rodríguez De Vicente on Saxophone, Joaquín Muro on Trumpet and Bruno Varela on Drums. Finally on side AA is Markus Enochson Presents Suedojazz with a track called Sober. This Swedish group lead by Markus have reformed for this release having previously had remixes under the name Suedo Jazz on MAW Records and Wave Music in the early 2000’s. This is also their first original work to be released rather than a remix. For this track we have Robert Ikiz on Drums, Gustav Lundgren on Guitar, Hampus Lundgren on Double Bass and Markus Enochson on Keys.

	Onto side AA and we have South African El Payo with Italy’s Stefano De Santis guesting on Rhodes and Solina. Living A Dream is a superb jazzy number for the dancefloor. Takahiro Fuchigami is up next with Southern Breeze, another broken beat masterpiece from Japan’s rising star who has recently had a release on Jazzy Sport. Rounding off side AA is George John from Germany with Anton Mangold on flute, a beautiful track to end our 51st release.
