Some days I feel like walking after dark, and in Norway that is rather easy to do :-), at least this time of year. This track came as inspiration after returning, keeping me awake most of the night...

Melting Field II

Well, sometimes the chords end up beeing like "pop", I guess it is a strange kind of muscle memory from back then...I do really, seriously NEVER sing, so I invested in an AI-software. I am fond of lyrics, but find it hard to write in English, so I ended up finding rhymes as best as I could. If someone/-body DO SING, and would like to add vocal and other lyrics, send me a mail or SC message. (Considering raising the tempo a bit...?)

Space Walk

I am constantly inspired by artists such as Yair Glotman and Mats Erlandsson, their magic ability to create strong, strong emotions through their sound design and compositions. UterUtrius is an attempt to put sound on an inner world, a sort of ambient landscape with a message; also trying to bring forward some of the inspiration and respect for these artists and alike. The track is in C Sharp Minor (C# min), and is built up of 30 stems.

On this day, Friday, I woke up to rain, silence and a feeling of having missed something. So, I sat down and this came out of my fingers, or rather my chest. On this day, Friday. Recorded in Logic, 5 stems, Felt Piano and some ambient effects. The cafe sounds are downloaded from freesound.org.
I am not sure I quite like Quantizing - not sure at all....but sometimes, You know...

On the wall, over my piano, synth, mac and digital stuff, is a picture called "Uskrevet Stykke" (Unwritten Piece). The painter is Roar Kjærnstad (Track image is not the painting). And this track is an attempt to put sound to this picture, that greets my every morning :-). And the picture also brings back memories of my own strugling with the keys, but also the deep fascination for the sound as it enters the whole room...

"Ved oset" means the place where a river meets the sea/ocean. The track is highly and humbly inspired by the great musician Lars Danielsson from Sweden.

Ved Oset

Trying to capture the feeling of a known place, a safe place, turning into something a bit scary at night, in the fog and after rain. Wanting to hurry, listening for sounds, seeing shadows, feeling uneasy.

Late Return

Self-taught from age of 5 (with full stop from 19-45) hobbyist - into "vst-jazz", ambience and piano-based music.
