Kicking off Abstract Radio is none other than Brent Honey With a powerful 2 hour Techno Mix that will take you on a journey from start to finish.

Playing at places such as XE54, New Guernica, Pawn & Co and Circus. Brent’s high energy behind the decks is infectious on the dance floor and paired with his tasteful selections this makes him a must see in the local nightlife here in Melbourne.

Brent is also the founder of “Honey I’m home” which aims to raise money for charity through events at venues across Melbourne - as well as a busking series with some of the cities best DJ’s for a charity of their choice !

Our next edition is bought to you by Fraser diving deep into the 90s/2000s hard house and rave scene to give us a high energy and hard hitting mix.

Fraser is a 22 year-old DJ from Melbourne who is exploring the realms of Prog, Hard Dance, Techno, Trance and beyond.

Recently making his debut in the festival and day party circuit at Beyond The Valley followed by PURE, Guerrilla and smalltown. He is Regularly playing gigs at some of Melbourne's most renowned venues like Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica and many others, as well as being a xe54 resident.

Notable highlights from Fraser include support sets for international acts such as Rebūke, Cromby, Antigone, Harvey McKay and more.

For the next addition of Abstract radio we have Rush Hour curated by blurr3d and Kjones with there live recording from Modul8

Known for bringing there energetic hard house, trance and Euro dance sound to venues such as xe54, new Guernica, dove club and revolver upstairs the pair know how to move a dance floor quickly becoming a well known name across the scene. 

The pair also host a monthly radio show on area 3000 - The Rush Hour - which aims to showcase the many Femme/Queer/Bipoc talent within the Naarm scene.

Our next mix is from Melbourne dj and producer hugo who brings us a mix full of uplifting and hard hitting trance sounds 

Falling in love with music from a young age and defining his sound in 90s trance and psy trance in high school Hugo started producing 4 years ago and hasn’t looked back ,
With tracks such as ‘don’t stop the music’ and ‘Like this’ racking up thousands of plays on his Soundcloud.

Abstract Radio - Hugo

For Abstracts 5th edition we are pleased to have Cookies & Cream join us with a mix showcasing their signature sound of heavy hitting techno pushing the tempo and stepping further into a class of there own. 

After taking out first place in the 2022 Your Shot competition The duo haven’t looked back, making a name for themselves in the local scene with sets at xe54, new Guernica, Beyond The Valley and sub club. As well as announcing their first AU/NZ Tour taking place over the next couple of months.

As well as many upcoming sets the duo is working hard to finish up there first EP, with there debut track ‘ too many man ‘ racking up thousands of plays on Soundcloud be sure to keep an eye out.
