Revisited vinyl set I did for club Broadway at the final Broadway Rave 30th December 2023.
The place were my parents worked at the first night the discotheque opened and where I had to close an area at the last night.
So started with their opening act: the Trammps and furthermore tracks from artists I booked at my first party, from people I met there and some tracks I know from club Broadway.

This Edition of Ouwe Stijl is Botergeil I had the honour of playing the openings set. Because I had to open this edition I had to play a couple BPM less then I would normally do. So i wasnt able to play the sort of tracks you normally know me for. But even so  I selected tracks that even tho where a bit slower BPM wise, they still had that fast feeling becouse of the the classic Juno synth melody's.

The first hardcore song I heard was in the school canteen back in 2010. The song goes by the name "The Voice of Mayhem" from Outblast and Angerfist. I was immediately sold for the sound.
An era of listening to millennium hardcore/ hardcore classics followed, and even hardstyle made from the early days till about 2014/2016.
So now and then, I listened to some early hardcore. But, 90% of the 90s stuff I listened was the happy hardcore radio stuff.

I have been visiting hardcore festivals since 2017. Never would I ever know that 1hour at the Thundergods (Thunderdome 25years) was enough to fully embrace the early hardcore! I also bought my very first CD at this thunderdome edition, because I bought too many tokens. The first album of many that followed.

My very first vinyl was also bought in 2017. A few months later, in 2018, my very first Turntable would arrive. After some time I discovered hardcore vinyl must be mixed. So, 2years later, I bought myself a second turntable and a mixer. Occasionally, I was trying to mix some songs, but it was not that serious.

... Until now!
