Following on from his 'Tired Voice' EP Reset Robot returns to Poker Flat Recordings with a new three-tracker entitled Duplicate. 

The man behind the moniker is Dave Robertson, Portsmouth based DJ/producer who has been honing his sound for some time - a perfect blend of crafty house music and slick tech vibes. 

With this EP he flaunts a lot of his signature sound - the title track grooves along nicely around a shuffling beat before building and dropping with maximum effect. 

Hyra has a more classic techno feel, the blippy groove compliments a Detroit-eque pad, before the track locks into its main section accompanied by a wobbly synth. 

Service, the third track sits somewhere in between the two - a thick synth bassline and propulsive rhythm track creating a heavy dance-floor heater.

A brand new name on Manual Music as Sean and Amber aka Kakura enter the long running Dutch imprint with a double A-sider that features the tracks 'Witcher' and 'Vermillion'.

The release kicks off with 'Witcher', a melodic tension builder crafted on a strong layer of afro beats and percussion. Super fierce and ever mysterious, this one properly sets the tone for what's to follow next.

'Vemillion' takes things up a notch as the tempo is increased and so are the energy levels. Resulting in a proper peak time effective dancefloor burner. All systems go!

And now for something special, as we are proud to present the remix winner- and runner up for the 'Witcher' remix contest we did together with FMM (finishmoremusic). Wisso did an amazing job, taking the afro elements of the original to the next level and belding a gritty, relentless arpeggiator to the mix, whilst Arqade took a totally different approach with his broken beats electronica version. Both very worthy of their appearance on this release without a doubt!

And if that's not enough, Kamilo Sanclemente makes his long awaited return to the label and has brought his mate Jossem along for the ride as the pair remix 'Vermillion', shaping it up for the progressive house audience to love.

Fiona Kraft has spent much time condensing the different elements and ideas in her head together in the perfect sound. She says this new EP is the best representation yet of who she is and what she feels. It comes after years of developing her distinctive sounds and playing everywhere from Hi Ibiza to Watergate in Berlin, mixing up rhythmic and progressive sounds with euphoric breaks. The gorgeous 'Deeper Feelings' has dancing Afro drums overlaid with nimble piano chords. The pressure builds and the groove is in constant evolution as the jazzy keys hypnotize and the spiritual pads bring the warmth. It is a majestic and epic track that oozes future soul. Legendary Lyon producer Manoo adds two remixes. The first is a smooth and quietly intense rework with aching vocals swirling out of the mix to take you higher. Korean-Canadian producer Hyunji-A returns to TOR, continuing to cement her bespoke sound, which highlights enticing and emotive grooves. She's been turning heads in her hometown Montreal through headlining shows at the esteemed Stereo, and her production career is well underway with releases flowing on the likes of OneDotSixTwo, 3rd Avenue, and right here on TOR.

Following her delightful duo on the Ticking Clock EP, Hyunji-A is back to soundtrack the summer with her second offering on TOR - the Stars & Satellites EP.

On the A-side, Stars & Satellites opens with crisp drum programming and floating hooks, before a sharp kick & rhythmic percussions open to a bountiful bassline. Build for the club, Hyunji's vocals float in the background, allowing the melodics to lift energy throughout a big build. A bomb from start to finish.

The B-side Badabing is a playful joint, touching upon micro-minimal flavors & acidic tones. Aptly titled, the B-side toys with the mind and bounces across all corners of the brain. This is sure to find the hands of seasoned selectors.

Closing us out is the percussive house jam Game of Chance. Powerful & prolific, Hyunji-A's sound is ready to rock on big systems. Easing into progressive territories, she effortlessly flexes her range as a producer and leaves us calling for more!

Higher States opens the summer season by showcasing new interpretations of Roger Martinez De Machtige Trip. With a career now spanning well over a decade, Roger's transcendent style has long been a favourite of the world's top DJs. Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sasha have all been steadfast supporters over the years, and remain as progressive music continues to grow and evolve. Sitting prominently on Roger's resume as one of his most well-received tracks has been De Machtige Trip. Released in 2013 via GEM Records, the production was beloved for its timeless musicality and pristine techno framework, ultimately finding a place in a wide assortment of DJ sets. Now, looking to breathe new life into the track for 2023's summer season, Higher States invites Alex O'Rion and Roger himself to re-imagine the production in their own essence.

Leading the release off is Roger’s 2023 rendition which once again proves his craft must be taken to heart. Rather than burst into a dancefloor whirlwind or electronic symphony, Roger’s update evokes its emotions through slow burn repetition. Dodging expectations and emphasizing its conceptual charm, it paints idyllic scenes of solitude, as hypnagogic arps unveil a semi-conscious dreamland powered by perfectly manicured beats and rebounding rhythms, before the Dutch artist's melodic attitude reveals itself during a second act of colourful synth phrasing and mesmerizing progression.

Making a return to the label with the second and final interpretation of ‘De Machtige Trip’ is Alex O’Rion. Rising out of a successful career as a trance producer, Dutch artist Alex O’Rion took inspiration from the likes of John Digweed, Nick Warren and Sasha, to forge a path into the world of progressive house. Alex’s groovy melodic sound found its footing quickly thereafter, as he notched releases via Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music. Moving forward, 2020 proved to be a breakout year for the Nijkerk resident. On the strength of projects for Replug and The Soundgarden, Alex rose to Beatport’s #3 best-selling progressive house producer, paving the way for releases via Guy J’s Lost and Found and UK behemoth Anjunabeats. Having continued on an upwards trajectory moving forward, Alex now sits comfortably amongst the genre’s elite as he continues to tour the world, delighting crowds with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills. Having made his Higher States debut in 2020 with ‘Imagine’, an EP co-produced with Antrim, Alex now makes a welcome return to the label with a groovy take on ‘De Machtige Trip’. While maintaining the uplifting spirit of the
original, the Dutch phenom crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a deep hypnotic journey where voluptuous basslines provide the backbone for invigorating melodies and balmy textures to surface from their rhythmic architecture, onwards to a finale of emotive grooves and speaker-buzzing revelry.
