After debuting on R3HAB's CYB3RPVNK with "Sirius," Cityzen is back with his second single "Rave Tech Repeat," a meticulously crafted dancefloor killer with a heavy underground appeal. With its kick-drum driven basslines, snarling synths and funky melodies, "Rave Tech Repeat" draws inspiration from the darker and more covert genres of electronic music such as techno and tech-house. With his ability to bend time and subsequently exist both in the past and the present, Cityzen has once again proved his ability to craft a sound that is both a timeless nod to classic sounds and a unique vision of the future for dance music. Although we're no closer to figuring out exactly who or what Cityzen truly is, he continues to impress and inspire with each new release. Keep an eye out for the next drop from CYB3RPVNK's family member, and perhaps the most intriguing one yet! 
 
Although not much is known about Cityzen yet, we can be extremely positive about three noticeable attributes: his affinity for the color red, unique glasses, and his desire to give people the intense beats that one would imagine hearing on the metallic streets of a futuristic metropolitan. Perhaps Cityzen (aka СИТИЗЕН) can live in the past and the future at the same time, giving him the ability to merge vintage hardware like Moog synthesizers with futuristic house rhythms of the modern age. If "Sirius" is any indication, Cityzen is on the verge of something huge and previously unimagined, and all the world can do is wait. Armed with his sparkling glasses and affinity for the color red, Cityzen brings to life a crossover of old and new that will become the unique sound of the next generation.

Matt Sassari is Truesoul’s first debutant of 2020, landing a punchy four-track work.

Hailing from the French port town of Marseille, the emerging artist caught Adam Beyer’s ear with strong cuts on imprints such as Relief Records and Sci-Tec. When the emerging artist begun sending demos, they quickly connected with the Truesoul boss and ‘Crack Body’ was rinsed heavily throughout the summer months of 2018.

Such is Beyer’s A&R style, patiently waiting for all the pieces of the EP puzzle to take shape, Sassari’s maiden release for the label has finally found form. The title track – familiar to fans from DCR415 – is a groove-packed party-starter brought to life by a rousing vocal sequence. With its bumping bottom end and attitude-packed vox, ‘Bruuh’ is a colourful and energetic addition to any set. ‘Everytime I See You’, is soulful techno made for big occasions, led by a memorable vocal and shuffling beats. ‘Cooking Drums’ displays Sassari’s penchant for building plenty of swing from the ground upwards, as chopped up vocal effects lay atop a sturdy bed of drums to create a useful DJ tool.

After a solid start to 2020 with Matadors groove laden “Desire” packing out dancefloors worldwide, RUKUS welcomes a newcomer to the label, in the shape of true musical pioneer, Skream.

The Croydon native has almost 20 years under his belt as a producer, spanning genres and BPMs, racking up releases with renowned labels such as Boysnoize Records, Crosstown Rebels, Hotflush and Solid Grooves, exploring all corners of electronic music and consistently pushing boundaries at every turn.

Anyone who has spent time on the dancefloor during one of his infamous “Open to Close” sets, has witnessed his versatility behind the decks. With a taste that refuses to be confined to a single genre, his passion for the music is clear to see in every selection.

The addictive “DUNNN” EP already features both tracks on Skream’s recent Essential Mix, and kicks off the title track in a playful mood, before a driving synth and heavy kick drum creep in, for a full assault on the senses. The groove soon takes hold and forever pushes things forward, while an infectious vocal appears at all the right moments, reverberating through time an space, creating those heads down hands up moments.

Second track “Tramadollied” shows off a darker, more intense side. Thriving kicks are joined by an eerie melody of disorientating bleeps and keys, that lure you into an almost trance like state, full of moody atmosphere and groove. Peak-time dancefloor heaviness from Skream that’s sure to keep eyes closed and feet stomping!
