Seemingly coming straight out of a science fiction myth, two animal-like entities each carry a dark object. A thin translucent membrane unfolds over their backs, supported by long legs with sharp ends. On each of the two shiny mucous membranes rests a shape similar to fragments of a monstrous body, hybrid entities between the wing and the leg, fossils of other-wordly limbs. A tension emerges from the different materials; the glittering veil, metal and ceramics.
Immersed in dim lights, the carriers seem to cross the space where three stone-like sculptures are hung at different heights by hemp ropes. Wavering between the organic and the artificial, their outer envelope is covered with textured enamels. Their gaping opening lets out squeaky noises that move in tri-phony (between three loudspeakers), evoking a form of life inside the cavities. Returning to imaginaries of the fantastic and the lilliputian, the spectators are immersed in a world of metamorphosis and strangeness that appeals to the different senses, allowing them to form their own narratives.

Who's there?

For my diploma work, I had the opportunity to exhibit in a place which, although having lost its function as a garage, has preserved traces of it. With its industrial character, the sorting basin of sewage water has become an artificial pond, made accessible to the spectators by a handrail. The spectators are invited to sit on a bench and to put on silicone shoe protections to move inside the pool. A spatialized sound piece escapes from five ceramic cocoons covered with foam-like sea scum. The ceramics, suspended at different heights, are reflected in the dark, viscous liquid of an unknown depth, all bathed in a bluish dim lighting, revisiting the primary function of the basin.
Proposing a textured journey through a chimeric underwater landscape of an artificial organic artificiality, the installation seeks to offer an immersive experience where spectators are plunged into the heart of a universe which awakens the senses. In this way, the place becomes the source, the starting point of a multiple sensory experience.

Wet Dreams

During the residency at lafonte during the summer of 2020, I performed a piece on 26 speakers spatialized in a room. The piece offers a travel through memories from the past coming from a large collection of fieldrecordings taken during the past year.
