it just evokes so many things and i find i can build stories for it as it goes along, it's very cool and ethereal in that way in my opinion

There are a thousand cherished moments that we associate with this club. One of them occurs in the early hours of the morning, when the light streams into Theater through the stained glass windows. As the bass resonates through your veins and your limbs twitch with joy, the sunlight delicately caresses the faces of the dancers. These smiles, dipped in bliss, are unforgettable. We had the pleasure of performing for this beauty in the first morning hours of this year. And we want to express our gratitude a thousand times over with this recording. Thank you for the countless aching muscles from laughing and dancing, for the tears in our arms, and, above all, thank you for the sincerity you bestowed upon us, MENSCH MEIER. Es gibt tausend liebste Momente, die wir mit diesem Club verbinden. Einer davon ist in den frühen Morgenstunden, wenn das Licht durch das bunte Fensterglas ins Theater scheint. Während der Bass durch die Glieder vibriert und die Gliedmaßen vor Freude zucken, streichelt das Sonnenlicht zärtlich die Gesichter der Tanzenden. Diese in Glückseeligkeit getunkten Lächeln sind unvergesslich. Wir hatten das Vergnügen, in den ersten Morgenstunden dieses Jahres für diese Schönheit zu spielen. Und wir möchten mit dieser Aufnahme tausendfach Danke sagen. Danke für die unzähligen Muskelkater vom Lachen und Tanzen, für das weinende In-den-Armen-Liegen und vor allem für all die Aufrichtigkeit, die du uns geschenkt hast, MENSCH MEIER. Btw, that´s me in that photo.
I was a rather weird kid, listened to Spike Jones, Benny Goodman, fifties rock´n´ roll and my father´s jazz record collection (O.  Peterson, Bird, C. Brown, W. Montgomery etc.)
 Later I discovered Psychedelia, New wave/Punk, Japanese noise (especially C.C.C.C.), 60-70s rock classics, Debussy&Messiaen, Dub reggae, Prog (Gabriel era Genesis, Van der Graaf Generator....), vintage Beninese stuff (Orchestre Poly Rythmo de Cotonou, Gnonnas Pedro  and so on), UK Freakbeat, out-there Jazz, Bowie/Floyd bootlegs, J. Zorn, early 90s Indie, F. Zappa, antique French Pop (Dutronc, Laforet...), U. Srinivas plus labels like Delerium Records, Shimmy Disc, Japan Overseas (Osaka), RecRec music and God knows what.
Additionally, I should mention that my all time favorite Finnish album is Sperm "Shh! Heinäsirkat". Check it out!
Various literary and "cinematic" influences have molded my music.  The more predictable stuff like Surrealism, Dada, Situationism, Beats (mainly W. Burroughs) of course, but I have also been influenced by the old-school Finnish Radio Drama, Beninese "traditions", the ramblings/books by P .Levenda, Megalithic Structures&Art, the humor of H.S. Thompson, 70s-80s Eastern European Animation, Yakuza films and by the cult movies re-released by Blue Underground, Something Weird Videos, Mondo Macabro, Arrow Films and so forth. Pretty far-out stuff that could destroy your mind permanently?
 And nope, my photo is not from the 50s or from the 60´s (It was taken around 358 BC, hahaha).
