Re-Hash is the 1st track on the Gorillaz' 2001 album Gorillaz. It is described in the Rise of the Ogre as 'a gloriously upbeat opener to the album'.

The song was written by 2D and Murdoc. Murdoc wrote random phrases on magnets and 2D threw them at a frigde. They kept whatever phrases stuck in the refrigerator. 2D was coached by Damon Albarn to sing more confidently in this track and, as stated by Russel, 'lose the thin reedy sound of the early rehearsals'. Backing vocals were provided by Noodle as well as Cibo Matto's Miho Hatori. For the bass sound, Murdoc placed his amp underwater, in a fish tank on the floor above. Then they held a microphone up to the ceiling below and recorded the bassline. As he stated, that's why the bass in Re-Hash is 'all muffled and well dubby'. 2D added a broken sitar sound to the track to give it that 'extra dash of weirdness'.

5/4 is the second track in the Gorillaz' 2001 album Gorillaz. The title is a reference to the time signature of the song. 

It was originally intended to be a single with a corresponding video, but was replaced with 19-2000. However a storyboard version is available for viewing on YouTube. 

Rock The House was the third Gorillaz single released from the debut album. Rock The House is known as the only other Del Tha Funkee Homosapien track available on the debut album. The single got a fair amount of radio play but could not be said to achieve true 'single' status in territories outside the UK, where its chart position would at best be described as 'acceptable' for a third / fourth single. MTV however lapped up the video so from this point of view it was a promotional success - the video would later be offered as a purchase incentive bonus on most editions of G-Sides. There were three excellent B-sides across formats which would become firm fan favourites.
