It’s an unusually warm December day, and S. Pearl Street in Denver is packed with families.  It’s Denver’s WinterFest, a holiday celebration of music, food and shopping.  The smell of kettle corn wafts through the air as Christmas music plays and people sample hot sauces and cookies.

Refugee and immigrant vendors from Chile, Israel, and the Congo sell handmade goods inspired by their home countries in the R Bazaar booth at Denver’s WinterFest.  R Bazaar is a pop-up market that supports refugee and immigrant entrepreneurs.
