How the song was made?

Created this song with summer sun and sand in mind so went about creating the synth melodies first then added the Guitar, Piano, Horns Section, then sprinkle some background glitch vocals in the background of the chorus then built the drums around the song to bring it all together. Then ran some parts of the song thru Valhalla Shimmer/Comet Reverb and finally mixdown via izotope Elements9 just to clean the song ready for mastering.

Part 3 of the "TALES OF A DOPE MC - PART 3" is somewhat a little more synth orientated and those who hear the piano melodies might know of which "Art of Noise" song it may sound familiar too??? Answer; MOMENTS IN LOVE  https://soundcloud.com/art-of-noise-official/moments-in-love-3 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cen22TBHo9M  which used a vox voice in the background of the song with a very similar melody so out of respect to the "Art Of Noise" we held back from using all of the melody as it wasn't required for this slower hip-hop groove so made the piano a chord progression instead. If you weren't born in the 1970's you possibly have never heard of the band who had no1. hits in the UK back in the 1980's...Respect to them always for not following the in trends but creating their sound allowing them to be consistent chart no.1's in the UK & being a massive synth influence to me when I was a teenager back so many decades ago...Thank you

Time to release another G-Funk song that's been collecting dust awhile in the studio vault

How Was This Song Made?

Pretty much started of with the lead whining synth melody then filled in the gaps with the triple layered beats. Next came the bassline created by a VAL Bassline Soft using the vst plugin. Then the main piano melodies to which has cloned channels so we could wash out any direct piano sound and create the deep soft background by using a plugin effect by Polyverse called Comet which allows you to create complete synthlines and backgrounds from any type of instrument used. Next came the female vocals which was multi-layered and also given a light touch "Comet" to create a more chior sounding melody. Then found a church bell sound from an old sound bank file from an online Orchestral free file pack as we could'nt be arsed creating one as the tones need to be real in the mix and that would take atleast 1 hour by itself. Added a few synth treats from a favourite goto vst synth plugin to sit behind the main synth lead before finishing or with some cymbals and other sounds then arrangement to song.
Effects Used;  Vst Valhalla Shimmer on vocals, Vst Polyverse Comet on vocals and piano melody to create the background distant synth runs, izotope's Elements 9 for various toning and balancing of a few channels including master mixdown.
Synth Used: Roland JD-Xi
DAW Used: Fruity Loops for song arrangement & Studio 1 for main mixdown
