Exclusive: Hiroyuki Kato - We Need

Japanese artist Hiroyuki Kato makes his debut on Italian imprint Flexi Cuts, a label that is known for exquisite House music and extraordinary output of timeless music. Kate's three tracker We Need is no exception as it touches the deeper sides of the genre but also contains samples or influences from classic House, Disco and even Techno with all of the latter being translated into a dance-floor key with raw and energetic note. The EP's title track We Need has a bleepy deep feel and circles or rather flatters the House genre but has this truly industrial deep touch, which makes a perfect fit for those dark and sweaty basement clubs, where you are soaked into because the ambience and music create this unique bound - the bound that We Need.

Ravanelli Disco Club is a disco house label based in Marseille that was established 2019.  Over its three short years they have worked with key artists including Ron Basejam, Jimpster, JKriv, Cody Currie, Retromigration, Joe Corti, and Scruscru, with releases in the wings by Prins Thomas and Pete Herbert.
 
Next up on Ravanelli Disco Club comes slick French duo Palavas who hail from the sun-drenched coast of the South of France, somewhere between Montpellier and Marseille. Named after the Pavalas resort - that was once the splendid queen of Mediterranean sandy beaches -  the AZZUR Records founders are the epitome of the French dolce vita! With previous releases on Toucan Sound and Future Disco, their music is an intoxicating blend of nostalgia and cosmic futurism that dazzles discerning dancefloors every weekend with their shimmering solar odyssey. 
 
On ‘Déesse D’été’ – which poetically translates to Summer Goddess - Palavas pay homage to the vibrant and infectious sound of the 80s, blending disco, funk, and new wave with a contemporary twist. This full-length journey provides us with a perfect summer soundtrack for the sunshine season, with upbeat rhythms and warm catchy melodies designed to get sun drenched bodies moving and grooving. After releases on the scene's biggest labels, including Kompakt (where his album comes out in September), John Digweed's Bedrock, Mobilee, Exploited and Permanent Vacation, he comes to HOSTED to offer "Geeked On Ur <3" featuring American rapper CS RUCKER.

This track is a collaboration with the label around a sweet melody that will stay in your head, a very Electro bassline, and a vocoded voice from CS Rucker, calling for a lovely journey.

Exclusive Emmanuel Jai & Nyaruach 'Ti Chuong (Musumeci Supernatural Remix)'

From the southern tip of Italy Mauro di Martino, better known under his Musumeci moniker, delivers one of the tracks of the summer 2019. His 'supernatural' remix for African musicians Emmanuel Jal and Nyaruach's track 'Ti Chuong' on MoBlack Records brims with energy and in addition to it creates a new electronic music sub-genre, 'New Afro Disco'. By far Mauro's remix approach touches various styles – the key elements can be broken down to a funky bass line topped off with disco-chords that highlight the African vocals from Emmanuel Jal and Nyaruach. So far the wrap-up. But what's not included in the latter is the way Musumeci puts these elements together, namely gently as if the single soundscapes stroke to then are closely linked to each other and generate a harmonny that forms the most versatile track. No wonder this supernatural remix has attracted the attention from various renowned artists already and has been supported by Innervision label-heads Dixon and Âme.

Musumeci's remixes for Emmanuel Jal & Nyaruach's track 'Ti Chuong' will be released on MoBlack Records on July 26th, 2019.
