Electric Appliances is a newly found label by Berlin based artists Klas Lindblad, Jan-Eric Scholz and Antti Pussinen. The first release is a various artist EP from the label owners with one title each, showcasing the more atmospheric side of electronica and techno. The leitmotif of the label has crystallized to 'electro sensory soul-to-soul wave transfers'.
Klas Lindblad, also known as Freestyle Man, is running Blackhead Studios and another label, Moodmusic and has been active in the electronic music scene since the mid-90s with releases on labels like Sähkö Recordings (Finland), Studio Barnhus (Sweden) and Mule Musiq (Japan).
Jan-Eric Scholz also known as Tesla286 has a long history of working with artist like Anja Schneider, DJ T and MANDY.
Antti Pussinen is a Berlin based Finnish internationally exhibited visual and sound artist, and musician. From 2020 on he is also putting he's skills and experience with sound to good use with recorded music.
The opener track 'Uranus' ventures into deep Detroit electro fervor, with the enduring variety of Tesla286's take on this classic sound. Pussitronix follows with the fierce 'Kolmi Osc' built around a lenitive bass-line and some soothing keys to build an atmosphere of severity yet ease.
