For the first release of 2022, we are pleased to welcome Amsterdam- based Romanian Alex Preda, who already participated in Odd Echoes Vol. 3, and this time, he presents his debut EP  ̈Moons & Stars ̈ on the label with a fabulous remix by Lexer.

The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste developing into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. 

Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath and has evolved into integrating live elements into his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.

The lead track Might Be Love ft. Katty Heath, is the perfect opener, full of groove and catchy melodies, that play along with the fx lead vocal, creating a super club piece.

Lexer approaches the reinterpretation of the lead track, adding new and catchy melodies, synthesizers and textures, giving his well-known stamp and taking the version to his own terrain.

Delving deeper into the EP, we find more of Alex's signature sound, but with a deeper and more emotional touch as shown in  ̈Don't Move" where the focus is on the beautiful chords that make the perfect match with the celestial synth melodies.

To close the EP we have “Searching” which is also another dance floor oriented track, fitted especially to turn the heat on the on any set. And last but not least, “Away from IT” is the perfect electronica/breaks closing track to round up this special EP.

An artist with a diverse and storied relationship with the dance music scene, GMJ & Matter are proud to see Kasper Koman make his label debut with the twin-track "Sinking Sky / Biome". A veteran of more than a century of production credits dating back to a 2008 debut, Kasper Koman has seen his work signed to myriad high-profile labels including the likes of Plattenbank, Anjunadeep and Guy J's Lost & Found. From central Netherlands, Kasper has combined trademark emotion with a powerful and evocative sound that has seen his music supported by such leading tastemakers as Guy Mantzur, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J himself. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the "Sinking Sky" opener is characterised by a driving beat and metronomic hi-hat pattern. A running 16th note bassline pattern enters the fray in the second movement with a fizzing vibrancy provided by resonating and filtered effects. A cast of additional characters add to the overall sonic landscape including a beautifully juxtaposed pad progression. A spine-tingling breakdown provides acetylene-edged emotion via the extended bassline motif, before hitting its stride once more in the latter stages to wondrous effect and no small amount of production talent. "Biome" continues the narrative of raw effects-laden power, while a strong kick lays the foundation for a piercing percussive groove, adding swing to the off-beat. A well-crafted sonic palette supplies a soft chord progression of Kraftwerk-inspired imagination as a meandering array of well-placed effects, white-noise washes and rasping bass notes create a mosaic of sounds. The result is a hypnotic, angular offering that keeps listener interest piqued without a central melody seeing the 6-minute piece fly past in an instant. Juicebox Music's 83rd release welcomes Redspace back to the imprint with a special collaboration with Shell Robinson on a single titled "Reflections". Redspace made his debut on our imprint through his contribution to our 2nd edition of the 'Fables' compilation with his single "Communication". The Russian artist's extensive discography showcases his undeniable strength in music production, having been featured on labels such as Miss Monique's 'Area Verde', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' and MoodFreak & Mike Koglin's 'YOMO', to name a few. Apart from his solo works, he's had phenomenal results through collaborations with artists across the world. He now teams up with Shell Robinson, a veteran progressive artist based in San Jose, California (USA). A classically trained pianist who found her way into house music, her journey began in 2000, drawing inspiration from industry legends. Amidst hardships, Shell Robinson always found solace in the music and continued to evolve her style, embracing the progressive sound through the years. Now entering the production space, her first two collaborative releases with Redspace landed up on Gav Easby's 'inU' and Paul Thomas' 'UV Noir', respectively, with a solo EP slated to be released in the near future. Together, Redspace & Shell Robinson's latest offering "Reflections" represents a beautifully composed yet club-effective amalgamation of their styles.

First up to remix "Reflections" is Juan Ibañez. The La Rioja (Argentina) born artist sculpted his sound through the years into truly expressing the fundamentals of his ideology - emotion through progression via captivating melodies, euphoric harmonies and vibrant rhythms. In just under 5 years of being active in the scene, Juan Ibañez's productions have been consistently championed by the industry tastemakers and earned releases on renowned labels like Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden' & Mango's 'Mango Alley'. Now making his Juicebox Music debut with this special remix of Redspace & Shell Robinson's "Reflections", Juan Ibañez's signature style shines bright by taking key elements from the original and elevating it to a euphoric interpretation.

Bursting onto the Progressive House scene in mid-2020, Fausto Javier Loza has carved out quite a name for himself with his FJL production moniker. Since a debut on Balkan United, the Argentinean producer has found his music allied to such esteemed imprints as sister Madlochs Sound Avenue and 3rd Avenue, Roger Martinezs HIGHER STATES and Mangos all-conquering Mango Alley. Now the Rosario resident from the province of Sante Fe, debuts on Proportion with a 3-track EP of the highest order as FJL presents his Alter Ego / Losstower / Rare Wizards EP. With a deep, fizzing bassline narrative running throughout the triptych, Alter Ego is a chunky rhythmic powerhouse that sees a chest-thumping kick paired with a deliciously grooved bass pattern creating a sublime rolling pattern. A kaleidoscopic array of effects and risers are scattered across the 6-minute piece as a delicate arpeggiated melody gradually evolves from the low-end foundation. Pulsating white-noise washes and a hypnotic dance-floor vibe add to proceedings in an impressive opener. A Tech House vibe infuses Losstower with its plethora of stereo-panned effects and sub-bass groove. A series of cleverly treated vocal effects add to the sonic melange with their eerie overtones, while meticulously programmed hats and shakers provide dancefloor urgency. Subtle melodic flourishes add to the overall feel and the result is a production masterclass from the FJL studio. The final offering sees Rare Wizards immediately showcase its club-friendly credentials through house rhythm and hypnotic bass sequence. In keeping with its partner tracks, a flurry of deep, dark and powerful effects make their presence felt alongside evolving textures and immaculate melodic touches. Layer upon layer of evermore intricate sounds come to the fore, felt especially keenly at the powerfully pulsing breakdown, before returning to the dramatic rhythmic urgency and plethora of effects that create a track bringing to mind such maestros such as John Digweed, Quivver and Jamie Stevens.

Released last September, Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer’s (aka Tinlicker) debut album ’This Is Not Our Universe’ took our world by storm, jumping to #1 on iTunes Dance upon release. A beautifully crafted journey through Jordi and Micha’s wide-ranging palette of progressive house and trance, the album featured an evergreen remix of alt-J’s ‘Breezeblocks’ as well as vocal singles ‘Lost’ and ’Need You’.

Their subsequent ’This Is Not Our Universe’ tour saw the pair traverse the globe in support of the album, including pitstops at Above & Beyond’s ABGT350 celebrations in Prague and the Anjunabeats UK tour.

Continuing the ’This Is Not Our Universe’ story, we welcome a host of remixes to the label from artists both old and new to the Anjunafamily. Fresh off his latest album ‘Deep State’ and setting up his Deep State Recordings imprint, Scottish producer Grum's progressive outlook on ‘Close Your Eyes’ has been a favourite in both his own and Tinlicker’s recent sets. With several heavy-hitting releases on Anjunadeep as of late, Spanish producer Dosem also joins the fray, contributing a deeper remix of ‘Vanishing’. To round off the package, Utrecht natives Deeparture and Tom Zeta tackle ‘Bird Feeder’ and ‘When The Light Fades’ respectively, whilst French producer and ‘Superset' pioneer Joris Delacroix adds his distinct melodic house flavour onto ‘Lost'.
