This track was initially released on “John's Gospel Quartet” (Wango Records LP-105, ca. 1965). It was reissued on “The Stanley Brothers Of Virginia: Volume Four” (County Records CO-754, 1976). “Lord, I’m Coming Home” was composed by William James. Kirkpatrick in 1892. The Louvin Brothers recorded this hymn for Capitol Records in 1956 and Jimmy Martin recorded it for Decca Records in 1962. This 1964 version was the last recording the Stanley Brothers made for Wango Records.
