Amanda Wolfe had provided a song idea with an initial melody and lyrics which I developed into a full song production.  I'm singing this version but we intend to record another version with her singing the lead vocal.

I wrote this song back in 2006 but never recorded a demo of it until last year.  I started working on tracking it October '22 and have been working on it since.   I think this is a solid demo but planning to replace the drums with live drums instead of programmed.  Also planning on getting it professionally mixed and mastered once the drums are replaced.

I met a man while sitting on a bench
He had under his arms a curious wooden box
I asked him why he held it like a newborn child				
In response he asked me to visit for a while		
And he told me    it held things he loved

He kept the feather of an eagle and the claws of a dove
To remind him that the fierce and peaceful are really all just one              
He had a bottle top and a baseball cap
A piece of string and a couple of jacks              
All these things so he wouldn’t forget
He held them close inside
His treasure box

He said to me that he liked to go walking
And pick up mementos along the way
These objects stood for moments that he thought he should save

I wrote this song in 2006 but kept it on the back burner for many years.  I finally started recording this back in November and finished it in late January and sat on it for several months trying to decide whether to make changes or not.
