"all that you are" is a first look at some of the music making I have been doing over the past couple years and I am thrilled to finally share it with you.

John Mayer has been one of my favorite artists to listen to and play. His deep, profound lyrics often bring me to another place, and help me forget about the worries that sometimes pre-occupy my mind, and cause me to forget about what truly matters. This is my tribute to him, knowing that no matter where I am, I will be found. 

Over the coming months  I'll be releasing these one take acoustic covers one by one, as I work on more original music out here in British Columbia. Stay tuned, and thanks for listening!

Ed Sheeran's unique approach to the world of songwriting and vulnerability of soul has been a great inspiration to me over the years. This passionate love ballad was one of my favorites, and I'm exited to share my rendition of it with you all.

In considering the moments we hold to be most beautiful, I am filled with thankfulness to God for all I have seen and felt that resembles my state of mind listening and playing this song.

Merry Christmas everyone! There are so many people in my life that I want to gift this Christmas, and especially some new relationships that I cherish greatly. I have been recently taught so much about what it means to love Christ by those that follow him, and I feel very grateful. In thinking about what song to produce  this Christmas, I wanted a song that thankfully pointed people back to the greatest gift of all. I wanted people to be invited to love the Christ, in whom I have experienced much freedom and transformation (Praise be to him!). I hope that this song really encourages you to focus on what truly matters this season, and causes you to be thankful as you dwell on   all you've been given, including the freedom that comes from knowing and loving Christ.

Lately I have been challenged to take myself less seriously, to laugh at my mistakes and boast in my weaknesses. To let go of the things I cannot control, and trust them in the hands of the loving, prodigal God who wants all of my heart and devotion. In order for that to happen, I have to be willing to let go of what I cannot control, and accept that the only way to experience true satisfaction that lasts is to surrender every part of my life to Jesus. Everything I have is a gift, and nothing in this life is guaranteed to stay, but by reflecting on what it means to understand the heart of God, I believe I am closer than I have ever been to living a life that matters. It matters not because of what I could do, but because Jesus dies so that we can have a chance to be more heart, and less attack. 

This song has been a important part of the soundtrack that accompanied my faith journey, and I hope it encourages you as it does me. If nothing I said just now makes sense to you, ask me about it!
