Australian dance music favourite Airwolf Paradise debuts on TRICK with new single ‘Don’t Hurt Me Baby’
Driven by the most anthemic of basslines, ‘Don’t Hurt Me Baby’ is an infectious dose of big room euphoria. The record is already causing a stir after being played in sets at the likes of Printworks and DC-10.

"I wrote Don’t Hurt Me Baby inspired by 90s house. I sent the demo to Patrick Topping with no expectation at all. Loving the scene and community that Patrick has created around Trick.” Airwolf Paradise explains.

“Patrick hit me back after playing the track around and asked if he could sign it! Next thing I knew I was with Patrick at Printworks in London while he was playing ‘Don’t Hurt Me Baby’ to a sold out crowd!"

Airwolf Paradise burst onto the Australian scene with 2018 single ‘Chasing You’, which became a bonafide club anthem and reached the ‘Top 10’ on the ARIA Club charts. He followed up with a succession of club-focused tracks, including ‘Make It Bang’, ‘Get This’ and ‘Be Free’, which was certified as an ARIA Club Chart #1.

For our final record of the year, we turn to Glasgow's man of the year - Denis Sulta.

Like a good chunk of the Numbers family, he has earnt his stripes working at the coalface of techno aka Rubadub. He has crafted two excellent twelves for our bare-chested cousins at Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and is beginning to carve himself out a reputation as a DJ of some repute, expertly blending in the bangers with Sulta-certified weirdness. Denis is part of a new wave of Glaswegian artists who are doing amazing things and whose music is continuously exciting us.

‘It’s Only Real’ created by Sulta during a burst of inspiration one Sunday, takes us back to a time when techno was intricately melodic but still kicked hard in the club. Made with only the purest of intentions and a dedication to the art of moving heads and feet.

Brazil meets Newcastle for Mura’s debut on Patrick Topping’s Trick with the vocal smash ‘Check It’, featuring remixes from Ewan McVicar and Elliot Adamson. Continuing to discover fresh talent, Patrick Topping recruits Brazilian DJ/producer Mura for an irresistibly energetic first release laced with catchy rapped vocals sitting atop a bouncy, synth-laden production, inviting label family members Ewan McVicar and Elliot Adamson on board for a pair of high octane remixes. 

Following his ‘Street Rave EP’ on Trick in 2020, DJ Mag ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ nominee Ewan McVicar provides a high energy ‘Organ Mix’ of Mura’s original, keeping ‘88 alive with blasting stabs and chorded organs to transform ‘Check It’ into a no-holds-barred rave anthem. 

Elliot Adamson returns to Trick after yet another year of superb output in 2020 and turns in two remixes of ‘Check It’. The laser-ridden ‘Leazes’ remix and the aptly titled ‘Turbo’ remix both see the Newcastle-born producer taking no prisoners, adding a welcome dose of frenzied excitement to yet another standout release from Trick.
