Fortress Stage 3 “Core Overload”

Location: The Resonance Core’s inner reactor, a living circuit of sound and heat.
Environment: Endless tunnels of glowing data conduits, molten code spilling down like lava, platforms pulsing in sync with the bass. Every step triggers sub-harmonic shockwaves.

Objective: Shut down the overloaded rhythm reactor before the entire world desynchronizes.

Enemies:
	•	Bit Drones – pixelated wasps that dive in tempo to the background beat.
	•	Bass Turrets – stationary cannons that fire rhythmic bursts you can dodge only by matching the music’s timing.
	•	Wave Runners – serpentine programs that swim through molten code.

Mid-Boss: The Compressor — a gigantic rotating speaker array that attacks with pressure waves, literally crushing the waveform space around you. Defeating it opens the gate to Dr. Loop’s inner sanctum.

Lore:
When Dr. Loop began rewriting reality’s tempo, the Core’s containment algorithms melted into pure rhythm. Every tone became heat; every beat, gravity. Only by matching the pulse can Raccoon Man move safely through it. The deeper he goes, the more the soundtrack itself fights back.

At the stage’s end, the walls begin to echo the main theme—slowed, distorted, and burning out. The screen whites out in a flash of static as the fortress heart ruptures… and the final battle theme loads in.
